The Birdsville Track traverses 3 deserts (Strzelecki, Sturt Stoney & Tirari) and was used for decades with a total lack of surface water along the route. The drovers endured drought, sandstorms & obliterating heat for weeks on e...nd resulting in many deaths of man & beast.
