Essentially, it's a time-limited, tax free grant program assisting residential construction market to stimulate demand through Covid-19 pandemic. All you need to know in 20 bullet points below: 1. $25k grant - build new home OR substantially renovate existing home 2. Principal place of residence only, ie no owner/builders or investment 3. Includes first home owners AND non-first home owners... 4. HomeBuilder complements existing State programs, FHOG/stamp duty concessions 5. HomeBuilder compliments Commonwealth's First Home Loan Deposit Scheme & First Home Super Saver Scheme 6. Time limited - building contract to be signed between 4 June and 31 December 7. Timing - construction to commence within 3 months of contract date 8. Dwelling eligibility includes - house, apartment, house & land package & off-the-plan 9. Eligibility requirements - personal (not company or trust), 18 years or older & Australian citizen 10. Income cap singles - $125k p.a. for individuals based on 18/19 tax return or later 11.
