24.01.2022 WORLD GOA DAY 2020: Report in today's edition of Herald newspaper in Goa. https://www.heraldgoa.in//Solidarity-Unity-Comfort-/166745

22.01.2022 Congratulations to Goans all over the world on completion of 20 years of WORLD GOA DAY, an event which unites Goans in celebration of our Goan Lifestyle. Credit to the founder of the World Goa Day, Mr Rene Barreto, for this very successful Global initiative 20 years back. The Goan Overseas Association NSW Inc in Sydney, Australia has always supported World Goa Day by celebrating the event annually around this time of the year to showcase our rich Goan culture, dance, music and cuisine. The current Covid pandemic has put a challenge to our annual community celebrations at St Benedict’s Church Hall, Smithfield, but we have put together an eclectic selection of memories from some of our previous World Goa Day Celebrations to take you back and relive the Goan experience. Enjoy.

12.01.2022 PRESIDENT'S CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR WISHES. Dear Members, 2020 is drawing to a close at last. It was a year that made huge demands on all of us, the pain of lost loved ones, ill-health, unemployment and economic uncertainty. The COVID pandemic has gripped the world and stopped it in its tracks. That is why Christmas greetings are all the more important this year, as never before have there been more reasons to continue this wonderful Christmas tradition of heartfelt written wor...ds. The Festive season has arrived and this Christmas, young and old alike will be wishing for a COVID-Free 2021. The coming days and months will not only continue to bring in challenges but will also provide moments of hope and demonstrate how everyone is truly connected amidst our shared fragility. I wish to acknowledge the dedication and selfless work of our NSW health care workers, first responders and other volunteering workers to make our communities safe, all at a great personal sacrifice. In light of the current situation, we as members renew our commitment to the values that our Association has been dedicated to since our inception. Covid cannot steal our Christmas, so I want to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas, a prosperous Covid free 2021 and join the rest of the Executive as well as the Youth Committee to thank you all for your continuing support for yet another year.
