02.01.2022 Victoria State Nomination Criteria Update Victoria’s full 2020-21 skilled visa nomination program (subclasses 190 and 491) will re-open at 10am AEDT on Tuesday, 5 January 2021. Like the interim program, the full program responds to challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, with a focus on Victoria’s health response and economic recovery.... The eligibility requirements for both the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) and the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) visas have changed. Victoria will now be accepting ROIs in submission windows set timeframes in which you can submit your ROIs. Once a submission window closes, you will need to wait for the next submission window to submit your ROI. If you are not selected immediately after your submission window, you will still be considered for future selection.

02.01.2022 **COVID-19 CONCESSIONS FOR SUBCLASS 485, 887, 888, 790 ** Concession period start from 01/02/2020 to a day specified by minister (not yet specified) SUBCLASS 485... 485 visa can be applied in or outside Australia in concession period by eligible applicants. Applications can be made even if applicant did not held student visa in last 6 months. Applications can be made within 12 months of completing study, instead of 6 months. 485 visa can be granted offshore as well, even after concession period ends. SUBCLASS 887 Applications can be made by 489 visa holder or applicants who held 489 visa before concession period and it expired during concession period. 887 visas can be granted outside Australia. concession given to the requirement of living in regional area for two areas. The applicants will be considered living in regional area for 6 months or longer, if the applicant was offshore during concession period. Requirement to work for 12 months has been reduced to 9 months if the 489 visa held during concession period and application is lodged no later than 3 months after the end of concession period.
