24.01.2022 Great to have a state of the art training facility right here in Central Queensland. Just another way the Palaszczuk Labor government is supporting our mining industry. #teamqld #qldpol #miningindustry

24.01.2022 None of our health heroes should ever have to worry if they’ll have a mask, a gown, or any other PPE when they’re working. This pandemic has demonstrated just how vulnerable international supply chains can be, so we’re strengthening them by making more PPE here in Queensland and upgrading our storage facilities across Queensland. In Rocky we’re going to build a Central Queensland PPE Distribution Centre, so that health workers throughout Central and Western Queensland can be guaranteed access to the tools they need to do their jobs safely.

24.01.2022 Fantastic to see another CQ coal mine going ahead. This will create around 500 construction jobs and 1000 ongoing positions once it’s finished. The Palaszczuk government has now approved more than $21b worth of resources projects since 2015.... #teamqld #qldpol

23.01.2022 Great to catch up David Laurence Bowden in Barcaldine, David is the President of the Roma Labor Party Branch and is travelling around Outback Qld checking up with some old friends when he is not working.

22.01.2022 BREAKING: From 1am on November 1, Queenslanders can have gatherings of up to 40 people in homes and public spaces. The change will accompany Stage 5 of Queensla...nd’s new roadmap to easing restrictions. Stage 6, anticipated from December 1, will see public gatherings increase to 50 people. We’re carefully lifting restrictions based on the best health advice. I know this will be welcomed by families across Queensland. Remember, if you’re unwell, stay home and get tested.

20.01.2022 Wage theft affects one in four Queensland workers. It also takes $2.2 billion dollars out of Queensland workers’ pockets each year in unpaid wages & superannuation. Just under a month ago we passed new laws in Parliament to make wage theft a crime in Queensland ... Employers found to be deliberately stealing from their workers will now face jail time. I'm proud to be part of a team that stands up for workers' rights. At the end of the day, everyone deserves a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work.

Jointly-funded between the Mac...kay Regional Council and our Government, this newly-opened centre is a game-changer for the region’s mining sector. It’s giving locals all the training they need for a career in resources including through a massive underground mining simulator We’re backing our resources sector and helping Queenslanders skill up to get more people into jobs as part of Queensland’s plan for economic recovery.

18.01.2022 Great news for the people in our electorate that rely on competition to keep regional airfares down. Also great news for those people in our community employed by Virgin. #teamqld

16.01.2022 Queensland is set to be the home for producing, testing and manufacturing Boeing’s first Australian-developed unmanned aircraft. The company’s Queensland presen...ce is now its largest footprint outside the United States, with more than 1,700 staff and 400 Queensland suppliers. 14.01.2022 The resources industry has a long future in Queensland, whether it’s metallurgical coal from the Bowen Basin, bauxite from Weipa or rare earth minerals from the... North West Minerals Province. That’s underpinning our plan for economic recovery as we focus on creating more jobs for Queenslanders. A total of $21 billion has been invested in Queensland's resource industry over the last five years to create 8,000 jobs. #qldjobs

14.01.2022 Great news for Queensland. #teamqld #qldpol

12.01.2022 Shearing is hard work, but the mates you make along the way make it all worthwhile.

07.01.2022 We’ve been calling on the Morrison Government to bring manufacturing back home for months. We know what manufacturing looks like in regional Queensland because... the State Labor Government has built trains in Maryborough, is supporting our Marine Precinct in Cairns and built manufacturing hubs across the state. Manufacturing is just a buzz word for Scott Morrison. Now he’s playing catch-up. Here’s a pic from our visit (two months ago!) to the shipyards in Cairns.

06.01.2022 We need look no further than recent injuries in nearby mines to know that the safety of workers needs to be taken seriously.
