24.01.2022 Goats 2018 (minus Mory)

20.01.2022 2019 pool games review The goats have had an interesting 2019 season, which included their first pool game loss in 7 years. The goats had a solid first game to beat eventual pool B second place 3-1. Unfortunately loosing Cody McGrath in the process, but picking up Jayden Bordin. They goats enjoyed a goal fest for their next 3 matches, racking up an impressive 30 goals while conceding only 2!... Week 4 was where the shock loss occurred, with Layton and Ben both playing injured and Jayden and Nathan out, the goats were left understaffed, eventually going down 3-2 to an ambitious and physical team who don’t actually play soccer, the penis land rockets. The goats were able to bounce back the following week against long time team Lennox gelato defeating them 6-3 and first place was assured after last weeks victory against boca seniors 7-2. The round 4 loss left the goats finishing in 3rd place overall. The first round of finals have set up a 2016 grand final rematch against the brown snakes to be played tonight at 8pm! Good luck goats! #UTG See more

13.01.2022 New-look Goats the team to beat Goats fc have gotten their 2020 six a side campaign off to a flying start, winning their opening three matches. Chafing the Dream were the Goats first challenger, and the young side put up a strong fight. A scoreless first half had the five time champions slightly rattled, which prompted a tactical change in the second half. However, shortly into the second half it was the newcomers who had netted first. This was the wake up call the goats nee...ded, and it was Goats most experienced player, L Barton, who turned things around, scoring a hat trick to bring the final score to 3-1. Following the electrical issues of round one, Goats were forced to play back to back games against seemingly tough opponents for the second and third games of the competition. Bay Kebabs, who boasted experienced personnel should’ve been a difficult game for Goats, but a lightning fast start saw the Goats 3-0 up after just two minutes. There was no slowing down, and the half time score was an impressive 7-0. Goats showed no mercy in the second half, piling on another four goals to make it 11-0, in what was Goats biggest victory since 2018. Goal scorers included C Viel (4), L Pereyra (3), G Ardissone (2) and L Barton (2). Unknown side Federal Massive we’re coming off a 2-2 draw with Chafing the Dream so Goats we’re expecting a tough battle. The match appeared relatively even in the first half, with both sides scoring in a game that was shaping up to be a defensive battle. Two very late goals for the Goats put them 3-1 up, giving them confidence heading into the break. The Argentinian connection of Arsissone, Resnick and Pereyra, as well as the unrivalled fitness and determination of Goats fc, proved too difficult for the challengers to handle. Before long it was 9-2, with the three international signings sharing the goal scoring credit. Round 4 will see the ladder leaders face bottom of the table side Poo Shooters at 6pm tonight.

12.01.2022 TWO DIFFERENT OUTCOMES FOR RETURNING GOATS!! (Goat report 10/10 round 1) It was the case of two very different endings in the round one game for returning goats Zack Moyle and Cody McGrath. After being ruled out of the 2016 grand final after receiving an ankle injury in the goats 2016 campaign (which they went on to win). Moyle gave himself two years on the sidelines to think about his playing future. Ultimately his hunger for a Summer 6s trophy and to score some bangers was... too great to resist! After a number of darting and pacey runs, in the goats opening match, Moyle found himself some space, one on one with the keeper, to calmly (and perhaps on purpose?) smash in the goats opening goal for the 2019 season! The opposition (Tony G) however managed to bring the score to level pegging shortly after, with a defensive error gifting the the Gs with their first for the season, taking the halftime score to 1-1. The start of the second half brought heart break for second returning payer, veteran goat Cody McGrath, who in contrast to Moyle’s dream return, endured a horror start, suffering a season ending injury in the first play of the second half! Goat Debutant, Ben Bordin gave the goats the upper hand, scoring midway through the second half to take the score to 2-1. The G’s came close to levelling the match, after an all or nothing play at the death, left the goats defence open. The Tony G keeper, pushed forward to halfway and found the foot of an unmarked Gs striker, who somehow narrowly missed his shot on goal. A quick restart saw the goats B Bordin, catch the tonys of guard, scoring into an open net to secure his brace followed by the final whistle, leaving the final score at 3-1! Fellow debutant, Daniel Crew, looked comfortable in the back line and a suitable replacement for the injured Toby Barton. Returning Goats Patrick Barton, Layton Barton and Nathan Burvil, all looked as strong as ever! Wishing Cody a speedy recovery and hoping to see him again on the pitch soon! Up The Goats
