25.01.2022 Want to know the not so hidden, but commonly denied secret of why you may fall off the bandwagon of hitting your health and fitness goals? It’s simple. The motivation you had at the start slowly begins to wear off. The feeling of excitment, inpulse, jumping out of the bed in the morning slowly dies. You fall back into old habits and then one day you get your motivation back and start the cycle all over again... How is this cycle stopped? With DISCIPLINE. Creating a no-matter...-what mind set. Being driven enough to make something happen that it DOES. By having the opposite mindset and not staying consistant and disciplined means one thing - You don’t want it bad enough, your WHY isn’t strong enough and you won’t do what it takes to reach the end goal. At Goddesslife PT we keep you accountable to your goals, we will teach you how to remain consistant & discipline. We are not just a gym. We are a support and constant motivator to help you reach your goals that we set out in the beginning. Stop jumping on and off the bandwagon, stay on it for good. Get in touch with us today to see how we can help you get where you want to be in 2021 [email protected] #goddesslifept #successtips #coburggym #femalegymmelbourne #inspirationalquotes #motivationalquotes #positivevibes #inspiration #mindset #successquotes #inspire #dailyquote #quoteoftheday #positivequotes #motivation #motivationalspeaker #successmindset

20.01.2022 Hands up if you want to curl up on the couch when you’ve got your period?! Do you feel like some days you are smashing it in the gym and other days you can barely push any weight? The menstrual cycle is a natural monthly occurring event in women and is influenced by physiological and pathological changes that occur throughout the life of the woman. Follicular (the first 2 weeks) - Testosterone & Estrogen levels begin to rise. Estrogen, the feel-good hormone, increases pain... tolerance and testosterone increases strength building so this is the perfect time to get make some gains! Keep your workouts at high intensity and high strength training here! Ovulation - Testosterone & Estrogen levels are at a peak here so you still have a high pain tolerance and can still push hard. Energy levels are still high so time to hit some PR’s in training during this time! However, some women may experience high anxiety and stress during this time so this is individual dependant. Listen to your body and be kind Luteal (the final 2 weeks) - Progesterone, the sedative hormone is at its highest point. This means the hormonal ups and downs begin and you may feel more tired, moody, less motivated and brain fog. Cravings and appetite will be at the highest so will power is crucial! Menses - Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone are low. Energy levels may be low here as you are bleeding so it is especially important you listen to your body and figure out what works best for you. The uterus is shedding so dealing with the psychological effects can be tough as mental and discomfort aspects can get in the way of training. This is the best time for recovery. Cutting back on training intensity here will allow your body to get the rest it needs. Try to get outdoors, take time to serve your nervous system for a deep calm. Bottom line- no matter where you are in your cycle, it is important to listen to your body and serve it accordingly. Happy exercising! Drop a heart below if you get regular periods (or if you are self aware) or hit the SAVE button and refer back to this later!

15.01.2022 The squat is a well-known exercise to strengthen the muscles of the lower limb. It is universally agreed upon by specialists that the squat is among the top three prescribed exercise for sports training, prehabilitation & rehabilitation. The highest forces and muscular tension during a squat typically occur during the downward to upward (descent to ascent) phase as the lengthening of the muscles are at a much higher range due to the range of motion. Common misconceptions o...f the squat are ‘damage to the knees’ and ‘the knees should not go over the toes’. The use of a squat is individual dependant and may be unique to cater to the specific needs! This means that a squat should not be taken as a ‘one size fits all’ approach. The squat is a highly versatile exercise that can target specific muscle groups for performance and rehabilitation purposes and can be performed in many varieties e.g. back squats, front squats, sumo squats and Bulgarian squats to name a few. Benefits of squatting: the squat mimics many daily living activities e.g. sitting down and standing back up. It also improves bone density, increases muscle mass and improves your daily life and physical capabilities! Moral of the story- keep on squatting goddesses! Now that you have read this, jump up, and complete 20 body weight squats (Sacrificing just two minutes of screen time to get your body moving is more beneficial than you may think!). 12.01.2022 Hungry or Bored? How many times a week is this you? Staring at your fridge or pantry for the 10th time looking for a quick snack - falling down the rabbit hole of eating unhealthy food that doesn’t serve your body or your goals. Pantry temptation is a real thing for a lot of people So we’ve compiled a list of small things you can do to curb the cravings and help stop the temptation. Go through your pantry/fridge and remove the junk. Literally throw it in the bin! Once ...it’s out of sight it’s out of mind! Replace it with healthier alternatives that will serve your body. Think things like fruits for sugar cravings, protein balls for chocolate cravings, kombucha instead of sugary drinks. Meal Prep! If fail to plan, you’re planning to fail! Prep your meals in bulk so when you’re feeling to lazy to cook, you don’t have to reach for the ‘easy’ unhealthy foods in your freezer or snacks in the pantry. Keep up the water intake! Aim for 2-3 liters a day. If you’re drinking loads of water, chances are you won’t even feel the need to snack! What do you struggle with the most with pantry temptations? By making just these few small changes can really help you stop mindlessly standing in the kitchen and reach your goals faster! If you catch yourself out, ask yourself are you hungry? Are you thirsty? Or, are you just bored? #goddesslifept #nutritioncoach #coburg #stayfitandhealthy #coburggym #health #cleandiet #melbournenutritionist #weightloss #femalediet #healthyfood #onlinenutritioncoach #healthyeating #healthyliving #guthealth #diet #coburg
