25.01.2022 Praying the Psalms - Day 29 The Lord Watches Over You I look up to the mountains does my help come from there?... My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. Psalm 121:1-8. Pray for: - Look to the Lord for the help you need each day. - Praise the Lord, and trust in Him who is your keeper and help.

23.01.2022 Praying the Psalms - Day 37 I Will Praise The Lord Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord.... I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath. Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows. Psalm 146:1-3, 5-9. Pray for: - Praise the Lord, and declare your trust in Him. - Praise Him for His gracious care.

17.01.2022 Praying the Psalms - 36 The Lord Is Merciful I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.... I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:1-3, 8, 18. Pray for: - Praise God for His majesty and His many mighty works. - Praise God for His compassion and mercy.

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them all by name. How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension! The Lord supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust. Psalm 147:1, 3-6. Pray for: - Praise God for the many ways He is building His church.

Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud. Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands. Psalm 119:1-6. Pray for: - Ask the Lord to help you keep His Word and to bless you as you do.

And the other nations said, What amazing things the Lord has done for them. Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest. Psalm 126:1-6. Pray for: - Praise God for the many wonderful things He has done for you. - Pray that God would revive His church and that it would take up its mission with greater zeal.
