13.01.2022 Hey everyone, just a confirmation of what we have all been discussing. The VFL will consist of seven teams (Frankston, Coburg, Werribee, Port Melbourne, Williamstown, Box Hill and Sandringham), starting a shortened season in August. The VFLW won't have a competition at all in 2020 - instead a series of games will be played where younger players will be given the chance to play in combined teams before the AFLW draft.... We have decided not to broadcast any games - our commitment is to the Geelong VFL & VFLW sides and since neither are playing, we won't either. Keep your eye out for updates here - we've locked the web site to save us the maintenance activity. It will be back in 2021 too! 11.01.2022 Very sad news for VFL followers being reported today ... Carlton have decided to sever ties with the team we grew up knowing as the Preston Bullants. This means the Bullants’ history will disappear from the VFL, with Carlton being offered the opportunity to field a side if/when the VFL kicks off later in the year.

02.01.2022 On 31 August 2019, the goFooty.Live team signed off for the year with a promise that we'd be back in April 2020. 429 days later and we're still not back. Yet. With no VFL or VFLW footy during 2020, we all found other things to do to fill in our Saturdays and Sundays but it just didn't feel right, did it? Well, there is light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. The first official announcements about VFL & VFLW 2021 have been made and so here is ours ...... goFooty.Live will be back for season 2021!! We've got plenty of work to do between now and round 1 but here are some of the changes that we know of already: * The VFLW season will run in parallel with the AFLW season meaning that we could be back as early as February! Our VFLW involvement will depend on venues, etc but where we can, we'll be back calling all Cats VFLW games on goFooty.Live. * The mens season will be very different too - rather than only involving Victorian teams, there will be teams from NSW and Queensland too. Goodbye Northern Blues. Welcome Carlton, Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast Suns, Greater Western Sydney, Sydney Swans, Northern Bullants, Southport Sharks and Aspley Hornets. We're not sure what that means for the Cats (e.g. how many games they'll play interstate) but once again, we intend to bring you all Cats games in whatever they decide to call the new East Coast league. So get excited, goFootyHeads. We are now on the countdown to returning to the airwaves for live footy broadcasts. Start spreading the word. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
