24.01.2022 In order to cater for lower grades, dedicated beginner classes (i.e. white and yellow belt) will be held. It is also a perfect opportunity for anyone new to karate and looking to join (or even try it for the first time). When: Wednesday 5.00 - 6.00 p.m. Instructors: Dave Sensei and Richard Sempai ... A link has been sent to all members by email. To make things easy, it is the same link and password as the other on-line classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This class will focus on basics, with a heavy emphasis on true form and technique. Time will be taken to ensure all participants understand techniques and are able to apply them correctly, and with confidence. Mastering basics cannot be underestimated - as Gogen Yamaguchi (founder of Goju Kai), said ,'Master the basics'. It has been great to see so many faces participating in online classes. Steve Shihan's classes have been a highlight - incorporating important fundamentals of Goju-Kai. For those yet to participate in online classes we encourage you to join in - should you have any questions about logging into 'Zoom' / or are having difficulties, do not hesitate to DM us ere or email us at [email protected]. PS: Even if you have not trained for some time we would love to see you again. See you online!

08.01.2022 2021 is here and we are back at training. Our dojo returned this week with our holiday timetable (Tuesday and Thursday evenings only). 2020 was a challenging year - for everyone. We are hoping that 2021 will be a year of new beginnings and growth both personally and for our dojo. We have an amazing dojo and we want to share it with more members. So we ask existing members to refer a friend (or more) to our club so that they too can learn traditional karate, get fit, and get t...he benefits of self defence. We really value referrals. Tell your friends and have them come and try out. All new members get 2 weeks free try out - they can train as much as they like during these first two weeks. Every new member that joins and pays for 6 months gets a free gi. If they pay for a term, they get 50% off their first gi. We are really looking forward to 2021 and planning when our next grading will be. We can't do anything about 2020 but we can make 2021 very rewarding. Let's do it!
