25.01.2022 Our 2021 Environmental Group have had a busy day at the school block.

25.01.2022 Well done to all students who have participated in this year’s annual Bat Tennis Tournament. Congratulations to our Women’s Singles Champion - Celia, Runner up- Erica; Men’s Singles Champion - Harvy, Runner up - Jude. Thank you to all our umpires, particularly to Sienna and Josh who umpired the Grand Final matches. The Mixed doubles competition is currently running.

24.01.2022 Year 6 had a great day at Coomealla High School getting ready for Year 7 next year in 2021. Year 6 enjoyed visiting the agricultural block, making some yummy ice cream in the kitchen, investigated different properties in science, made a photo frame in the woodworking room and finished the day with an awesome music concert from Year 7 and 8 students. We left feeling very tired but excited for our big move to high school next year.

19.01.2022 Great news! A new school crossing will be constructed at the Gol Gol Public School, with a supervisor to be appointed. The Minister for Regional Transport and ...Roads, Paul Toole made the very welcome announcement today. Recruitment for the new crossing Supervisor will commence soon, with works expected to be completed early in Term 4 of the schooling year. See more

19.01.2022 A special visitor today for news in Year 2/3.

19.01.2022 Day 3 of Year Six’s virtual excursion to Canberra took place at the Australian War Memorial. The year 6 students where given an immersive and interactive tour through the museum by our host Lauren. We learnt about the history of the Museum, it’s significance to us as Australians and how we have a special connection to the museum with our Lone Pine tree in our school gardens.

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Harvy, who was named Barrier captain, played every game with tenacity and was named in the NSW PSSA state team!!! Incredible effort, especially in a win-less team. Never gave up!

14.01.2022 We had some special guests visit us on the Goldfields today- Mr Cameron, Rowena Larsen and her beautiful horse ‘Snip’. They taught us all about caring for horses, the roles horses played during the early years of life in Australia and also some history about our school - we even found out where the stables used to be!

10.01.2022 Final day of Year 6’s virtual excursion to Canberra with a visit to the National Museum of Australia. Our host Karlee gave us an in depth tour of the Museum and showed some amazing artefacts of Australian History.

05.01.2022 Virtual Excursion to Canberra Year 6’s have arrived safely in Canberra and have begun their virtual excursion with their first visit being the National Portrait Gallery. During our visit, Our host Lucie explained the significance of the gallery in Canberra and explored many amazing portraits by Australian artists and their meaning. We also learnt some new and interesting techniques when drawing our self-portraits.

Our host Sarah gave us a tour around Parliament House, we visited the two houses ‘House of Representatives’ and ‘The Senate’ and she explained the role of Federal Parliament. ... Fun Facts for today: There are over 2400 clocks in Parliament House.
