24.01.2022 Hi, we are going to move to Canberra in January 2020 and stay there for the whole year to spend time with our daughter and grand-daughter. We'd prefer to do a house swap so we can look after your place and you can look after ours and neither of us needs to pay anyone or move all of our belongings into storage. Having said that, we are flexible with dates and arrangements and will consider renting here and in Canberra. I'll load lots of photos and descriptions so you can see where and how we live.

23.01.2022 This is our lounge/dining/kitchen with lots of windows and doors for breeze as well as an airconditioner, ceiling fan and access to two verandahs. We have an electric stove, fridge and microwave. If we house swap, we leave these here. The table seats 6 people but can be extended to 8 so it's great for family dinners. The floors are solid timber throughout so easy to vacuum and wash. No carpet.

21.01.2022 So, what can you do on the Gold Coast, I hear you ask. Here's the beach near us - Currumbin Estuary, and then there's Currumbin Beach

18.01.2022 The closest schools with bus access from our house are: Tallebudgera State Primary School and Elanora State High School. There is a child care facility a few minutes from us and another near the primary school. 17.01.2022 It's about 7 minutes drive to The Pines Shopping Centre with supermarkets, Elanora Library, Australia Post, medical centre, dentist and more. Robina Shoppingtown and Burleigh Stocklands are also within 15 Minutes drive, as well as smaller centres.

16.01.2022 Bathroom with washing machine, dryer and access to a verandah and steps leading to downstairs. Clothes line downstairs or we use a line in the carport. We have town water for most of the house and several large tanks for washing, toilet and the garden; GCCC rules or we would use the water everywhere.

13.01.2022 This is the kiddy play area with access to the verandah, separate toilet and bathroom. We even have secure swing hooks for indoor swinging. You could use this area as an office. We are moving our belongings into the boss' office at the end of the house which will be locked off.

09.01.2022 Bedroom 3 with sliding security screen door with access to a verandah, large wardrobe and built in shelves and desk, ceiling fan and single bed. We'll probably repaint this room before moving.

07.01.2022 The first photo is the verandah outside the kitchen with a locking gate to prevent dogs and kids from wandering, plus a barbecue. The second verandah is outside the lounge and the third bedroom. They both overlook gardens.

02.01.2022 To prospective house swappers : the thing is, you want your Canberra home well looked after and we want our Gold Coast home well looked after, so let's get together for 2020.

02.01.2022 As requested, here are some photos of our property with the driveway and the road outside. As we live in a cul de sac, the traffic is light and quiet. Please note that it has been very dry so the photos reflect that. It is usually much lusher at this time of the year.

01.01.2022 Please pass this around as we'd like to find someone who loves our house like we do rather than let a real estate agent put tenants in. Our family lives in Wright so something in that area would be best but we're not fussy. I guess my three hives of native bees will stay here (stingless) and we take pride in cultivating endangered Richmond Birdwing Butterfly vines with their caterpillars and butterflies, as well as making sure pets don't chase the wildlilfe. So, you can see why we're fussy about who lives here.
