18.01.2022 Hi EVERYONE, Tomorrow feels like it’s the beginning of the new season, how good is that? The festival of Ocean Swimming was due for this week so we’ve all missed out on the Red Carpet Burleigh to Surfers 10 km Ocean Swim this year. Bummer......... Good News Stay tuned we will have more club based activities including time trials with different distances at different Gold Coast Beaches to get your distance swim in for this year, dates to be released soon. Also we will have workshops i.e. Preparing for an Ice Mile Challenge by Sam Penny, or Master Classes at Bond University topics of Mature Age Athletes and Advanced tips on freestyle by Professor Peter Reaburn & Judy Bonning respectively. Financial Hardship The club is suffering from financial hardship so please support the club and buy some club gear, we have Waterproof dry bags $40, Club Towels $30 Baseball Caps $20 Swim caps $5 SPECIAL DEAL one of Each $80 Tomorrow’s club swim Saturday 16 May Remember we have staggered starting times of 7.30, 8.00 & 8.30 swimming in groups of 10, so bring your Gold Coin donation and money to buy some club gear and meet at Kurrawa Surf Club. 18.01.2022 Gold Coast Open Water Swim Club 5 km & 10 km Ocean Swim Club Time Trial Kurrawa to Miami and back 10 kms or Kurrawa to Mermaid Bch and back 5 kms. Saturday 8 August 6 am registration opens, 7 am Time Trial starts. Enter on the day $40 -every swimmer gets a club swim cap and towel. ... Every entrant must have a support. Supports can walk the beach or paddle the course. The club will issue certificates which can be used as qualifiers for other endurance events. There will be a cut off of 50 entrants in Total. 13.01.2022 Hi Guys the photo attached is the role out but stage 1 Starts Tomorrow week, with means tomorrow’s swim will be a get a swim buddy and organise your own time and location, we are so close to swimming in a group again, unfortunately pool swimming will be one swimmer one lane until stage 3.

08.01.2022 Gold Coast Open Water Swimming Club 5 km & 10 km Ocean Swim Time Trials Date: Saturday 2 January 2021 Courses 10 km Surfers to Burleigh... 5 km Surfers to Mermaid Beach Meet at the star in Surfers 5 am Register COVIDSAFE to be observed 7 am Start Entry is to buy a waterproof dry bag $40 Each swimmer must have a support spotter to either paddle along side or walk the beaches. Support to text in at checkpoints which are at Northcliffe, Kurrawa, Mermaid Beach, Miami and Burleigh Heads Surf Clubs. 10 km completed times certified and can be used for qualifying for longer swims ie, Swim the GC or Cottesloe to Rotto or Swim around Great Keppel Island. All swimmers to enter on the day and at their own risks. Meet here in Surfers
