19.01.2022 Hey STARS! What a year it has been! I have been really impressed how the kids have conducted themselves during the season. They have come with a willing spirit and the level of improvement has exceeded my expectations. I also gauge this by the comments the other teams have made regarding the rapid gain in skill level and how the games are much closer than the scoreboard indicates. While our membership is small, we have a core group of families that have made this sport their ...own and helped us reach a level,that will only improve your child's experiences in the sport of inline hockey. I am inviting you to come down to training tonight, to give me your feedback on how the year has gone. Tell me what you liked and what you think we could improve on. The kids get to have their say as well, so write down their comments and ideas so we can discuss. Iwould also like to ask your opinion on when the season should start and when it should finish, as well as daylight savings and how this affects your family. If we would like to have a break up party for the kids, then we can discuss this as well. I have BIG plans for these kids in 2020 and 2021 with the Nationals being held locally for those next 2yrs and I am going to do everything in my power to position them for success if they want it. 15.01.2022 Hey Hockey families! I am organising a training session (game strategy) on Sunday the 8th morning at Epic Skate Rink. Arrive at the back at 8:30 QLD time 9:30 NSW time. We will get on the rink at 8:45 Q - 9:45 NSW and need to be Finnished up at 9:45 Q - 10:45 NSW. The cost is $15 with any profits going back to the club. Hope to have a hockey meeting after for those who would like to hang around and talk about the upcoming season. Cheers Mike

13.01.2022 Scrimmage and training in preparation for our QLD vs NSW State of origin matches in a few weeks

13.01.2022 Hey 11U! team, We will be launching our 2020 season with a Hockey Meeting at my place (Sunday 19th). We will be having a talk about the game plan for next year and what is expected of the kids. Get them to bring their gear and we will see if they have everything and do a quick maintenance talk. We will not be skating or doing drills, just a talk - socialise - pizza - and another theory talk. I hope to streamline the training process leading into ...next year with good communication. We will also be choosing the team and allocating positions as well as formulating a game plan that best suits our style. Parents: Please let me know if your child will be attending and how many are coming so I can cater. Also bring your questions and I will try to alleviate as best I can. 10.01.2022 Hey STARS! The rink will definitely be open for our first training session on Wednesday the 1st on July. We will have COVID19 procedures in place and I encourage you all to download the Covid Safe App. We still have to keep our distance and we can't play a game yet, but it will be awesome to see the kids skating again.

10.01.2022 HEY STARS!! There are renovations going on at the rink but thanks to Epic management we still have our usual training timeslot this Wednesday. We will have to get changed at the allocated tables and chairs, and maybe have to avoid a couple of paint cans, but we are definitely training. We are also collecting our annual $20 club fee this week so please bing that along and we can tick you off. A reminder for those who have not yet registered with Skate QLD to do so or you will not be able to play in the comp. Mike

Gold Coast Stars Junior inline hockey teams are back on the rink after weeks of nagging, practicing at home and skating around the neig...hbourhoods in anticipation of training and playing again!!! Junior training has recommenced at Epic Skate Rink, Enterprise Ave, Tweed Heads South from 5-630pm. We invite anyone interested in checking it out, or having a go, to get in touch and come on down on Wednesdays at 5. Try it out for free, all gear and training is provided!!
