If you are coming to race or train with us here on the Gold Coast, and reside or have been within the Greater Brisbane Area (GBA) on or since 2 January, the GBA restrictions apply here also. For our GBA members/friends, that means masks will need to be worn when entering and exiting the Gold Coast Cycle Centre (i.e. at the point of possible congestion), and when physical distancing is not possible. When using the bathroom facilities or entering the canteen or storage areas, masks will also be required. If in doubt, wear a mask.

02.01.2022 We trust everyone enjoyed their racing this morning on the Norwell Motorplex circuit. It certainly offered something a bit different, and the weather was great. In A Grade, it was great to see Danielle De Francesco setting the early pace, and these young guns certainly lit up the track in true attacking spirit. In what was a dominant and impressive performance, Kane Richards took the win with New South Welshmen Jesse Ewart and Sam Jenner battling it out for second and third.... B Grade also enjoyed an animated race, with the juniors and more seasoned riders exchanging a series of attacks, but in the end, a 4-man break stuck in the final laps. Well done to James Hollonds, Steve Griffiths and Marcus O'Brien on their podium placings. C Grade saw many a gutsy move but the gaps were consistently closed and it came down to a bunch sprint in which Neil Collis triumphed over Stuart Cali and David Nye. It was then time for our younger juniors to have a crack, and it was a delight to watch. We had a mentored participation race with some of the cutest kids on two wheels, as well as Junior A and Junior B. Great stuff, kids! Results as follows: A Grade 1st - Kane Richards, Gold Coast CC 2nd - Jesse Ewart, Newcastle CC 3rd - Sam Jenner, Armidale CC 1st Woman - Danielle De Francesco, Gold Coast CC B Grade 1st - James Hollonds, University of Queensland CC 2nd - Steve Griffiths, Gold Coast CC 3rd - Marcus O’Brien, Gold Coast CC 1st Junior - Luke Richert, Gold Coast CC 1st Woman - Pia Smith, Murwillumbah CC C Grade 1st - Neil Collis, Logan CC 2nd - Stuart Cali, Logan CC 3rd - David Nye, Gold Coast CC Junior A 1st - Reilly 2nd - Charlotte 3rd - Ole Junior A Girls 1st - Charlotte 2nd - Mackenzie 3rd - Sasha Junior B 1st - William, Balmoral CC 2nd - Austin 3rd - Nate 4th - Adele Junior Participation 1st - Evie-Rose 2nd - Emerson 3rd - Whitfield Thanks so much to everyone who helped out today, including Cathy, Damien, Todd, Garry, Gaymaree, Davin and Kerry. When the club trailer blows a tire on the motorway, it’s great to have such a team to keep the show running, and to come to the rescue.
