14.01.2022 Welcome to a brand new dance event on the Gold Coast for the next 5 weeks: Sensual Sundays, hosted by World Champion Special Guest Alex Bryan of 'Dancing with the Stars' fame. Alex has been dancing and teaching Zouk for more than 10 years now, and will be teaching alongside our own Jenna Almenares in the Advanced class, who toured with Zouk superstar, Carlos da Silva. Whilst these classes are on, we'll also have some fun Bachata classes next door with our own crew of amazing ...GCS instructors, so the studio energy will be pumpin'! 11.01.2022 Hi everyone, We know you have lots of questions about the new restrictions that have been announced today and whether tonight will still go ahead (don't worry, it's good news, but read on) Firstly, we want you to know that your health is of our utmost concern, so weve been following the news over the last few days and we feel relatively confident with the information that we have, that the latest QLD Covid-19 hotspot in the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre doesnt pose a high... risk to our Gold Coast dance community at this stage. Additionally, the newly announced restrictions dont apply to the Gold Coast (only Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley, Moreton & Redlands), plus as a dance studio that follows an industry approved Covid-Safe plan, we are exempt from the new restrictions anyway. Our industry leaders have also been in touch with QLD Health this morning, whove confirmed that at this stage there is no change to Contact Sport restrictions, which therefore includes partner dancing, and thus our classes and practice time tonight - YAY! So the great news is that tonight is still on However, given the new outbreak, wed also like to remind you to be considerate of your fellow dancers and stay home if you feel at all unwell, if you have returned from overseas or interstate in the last 14 days, have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19: (coronavirus) in the last 14 days or have visited any of the declared hotspots. The GCS crew will also be taking additional precautionary measures tonight as well, including temperature checks upon entry, increased availability of hand sanitiser, and strictly enforcing restrictions on maximum number of dancers in each room so please make sure you book online (if you havent already) to avoid disappointment. This week is going to be a ZOUK SPECIAL with fun Zouk classes by special guests Bruno & Sarah, following a dedicated afternoon of specialty Zouk Workshops. If you haven't ever danced Zouk before, make sure you check out our FREE Absolute Beginners introductory class at 2:30pm in the afternoon this Saturday, so you can learn the basics before our special guests arrive.
