15.01.2022 Logan | A 25-year-old man has been charged after allegedly driving dangerously through Browns Plains. Around 5.30pm yesterday (May 1), police noticed a silver Holden Commodore driving along Browns Plains Road without registration plates. It will be alleged officers attempted to intercept the vehicle when it performed a burnout, before accelerating away. Polair monitored the car throughout the Logan area.... Around 6.30pm, the man allegedly parked the car at a shopping centre in Boronia Heights, before stealing a white Jeep from the carpark. A tyre deflation device was successfully deployed, causing it to come to a halt on Chambers Flat Road with the man subsequently being arrested. A 25-year-old Sippy Downs man was charged with two counts each of dangerous operation of a vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He has also been charged with one count each of evasion, burglary and driving a car without registration plates. He has been denied police bail and is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 4.
13.01.2022 Maryborough | The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a crash involving a pedestrian in Maryborough last night. Initial inquiries indicate just after 10pm a 69-year-old woman was crossing the road at the intersection of Alice and Rocky streets when she was struck by a black SUV. The 56-year-old female driver immediately stopped to render assistance.... The woman has been taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she is in a stable but critical condition. Forensic Crash Unit inquiries remain underway.

09.01.2022 Norman Gardens | Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Norman Gardens which occurred this morning. Around 11am emergency services were called to a Kingfisher Parade house and upon arrival the single storey dwelling was found to be well involved. No one was home at the time.... A crime scene has been established. Anyone with further information about the fire is urged to contact police. Investigations are continuing.

03.01.2022 Banyo | A 16-year-old boy has died during a dirt bike race at Banyo this afternoon. Preliminary information suggests the boy was racing a dirt bike at a track on Raubers Road when his vehicle struck a fence around 1.45pm. He was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the collision.... Police are appealing for spectators at the event who were filming the race to come forward and supply vision to Forensic Crash Unit investigators.
