15.01.2022 Every industrial area needs power. This station runs the adjacent quarry and cement works.
15.01.2022 The Flying Scotsman and one of its lesser known siblings, the Gay Crusader (yes it was called that - they were mostly named after race horses), on passenger duties. The yellow livery was for the long haul expresses, and the "blood and custard" one was used on shorter runs (please correct me if thats not the case)
15.01.2022 Freight depot full of containers!

09.01.2022 Here's a handy table of HO scale speeds - would most likely be easily translated to any other given scale. Thanks Tony Reidpath for sharing this.
09.01.2022 Soon enough we will be able to reopen and your committee was busy today doing odd jobs like fitting some additional fans.
08.01.2022 Hi all - I'm now at the point of building a table for my layout. Does any one know of a suitable builder/handyman that could do this, please? Am not attempting it myself since I don't have the tools or the skills required (and it would take too long!).

03.01.2022 Great to see a Challenger under steam today! (Big Boys look similar and are the more well known of the two - thank you Craig for the correction)
03.01.2022 My recently acquired Triang loco which has a strong resemblance to a WAb from NZ. Big thanks to Mike Davies who I bought it off, and to Colin Gibson for converting it to DCC and reducing the flanges so it would run on the DCC tracks.
02.01.2022 Mixed goods in TTn3.5 scale (referred to in NZ as NZ120 scale) running on the N scale (1:160) layout, where 9mm gauge is treated as 36" instead of 4 8.5" (S scale is the equivalent with HO track). Owned by one of our members, Ive seen photos of another of his trains running on the layout in recent months.
