You also have the opportunity to participate in volunteering opportunities that suit your availability and skillset. You are connected with likeminded individuals within your community and expand your leadership toolkit. You pay a small monthly fee to help cover the cost of running the organisation and go to bed each night satisfied that you are helping causes bigger than yourself.

Loungeroom meditation and easy walks around the neighbourhood are examples of accessible movement.

19.01.2022 A NEW AGE OF GC ROTARY BEGINS A new age Gold Coast Rotary club is marking the institution’s 100th anniversary by taking a stance against family and domestic violence. Rotary in Australia is celebrating a century of service with a baton relay but the Gold Coast Passport Rotary Club took it a step further by taking over the baton and marching for a cause. ... Club president elect Kasia Brzezicka said the members chose to say no to domestic violence this Mother’s Day and encouraged others to join on the day. Ms Brzezicka said the club would take the baton at Burleigh Heads Surf Life Saving Club and would walk to north Burleigh in solidarity for all mothers affected by domestic violence. I feel like there is a real issue in our community with domestic violence and we need to talk about it loud and look out for one another and that’s when things will start changing, Ms Brzezicka said. The more we talk about it because I believe affected women and men will feel more comfortable to seek help. 13.01.2022 Did you know that we have donated numerous laptops to Zephyr Education now and are continuously taking donations of laptops and more. Zephyr Education Inc (formerly, Zephyr Foundation) was founded by a group of volunteers who got together in 2013 to help children at domestic violence shelters get on with their education by supplying them with everything they need to start at their new school. About the name: ‘Zephyr’ is defined in the Oxford Dictionary as ‘a soft, gentle bree...ze’. We chose the word as expressing the fundamental purpose of our charitable work, which is to help initiate a fresh change for the children we support as well as their mothers or carers.
