23.01.2022 Day - 3 Game 2 JUNIORS VS SRI SUMANAGALA COLLEGE, PANADURA Great news, we batted through full 50 overs today. Scored 245 by Batting in good partnerships all the way through the innings. Plenty of singles taken to compliment the consistent stroke play for boundaries. Their intent to move was very good, and demonstrated the growing confidence and self belief. Lachie Aitken 78, Lachie Mair 48, Riley Tattle 41*, Ettiene Chabert 18. A super game of cricket that went right down to... the wire. SL boys prevailed by 3 wickets via controlled, disciplined batting (and a few more extra then we would have liked - at least 30 wides). Fielding on a ground with less than perfect outfield was a test of character and G+D of the highest order! SL cricketers are tough! Lachi Mair was a revelation with the new ball and as expected. Our spinners took most of the wickets and a brilliant run out by Cooper Vievers and Dan Statham. Jack Tee was the pick of the bowlers. Harry Anthony 2 wkts, Will Jackson 2 wkts. Lining up today for 3rd 50/50 game in hot humid conditions that will really alerts the resilience of the boys. SENIORS VS PANADURA COMBINED SCHOOLS XI We lost the toss and they put us to bat . We didnt have the perfect start we lost Ben in the second over and then we had a good partnership with Louis and Bailey they put on 73 and just before drinks we lost Bailey for 37 and Louis got out on 49 .After that we kept loosing wickets regularly didnt had a big partnership but Will Mahoney scored 44 and we were all out for 197 . Our bowling wasnt the best so they chased us down by losing only 2 wickets and on the game was finished on the 32 overs.

23.01.2022 Day - 2 Game 1 Juniors vs St Josephs College, Colombo Good early partnerships, good bating on a grassy but fair wicket. At 4/150 from 31 overs, a big total was looking likely. Some great catching and excellent spin bowling held the total to 183 of 43 overs. Cooper Veivers 32, Lachie Mair 33 and Alastair Johnson 34 all looked composed and heading to big scores. Loosing 6/33 was not in the plans, but 1st game on tour was always going to be a pressure packed day. Unfortunately... for us the strength of the SL team was their batting. Very good players that hit the ball hard when our bowlers strayed even a little from the ideal line and length. All bowlers stuck at their task very well. The pick of them was Jack Tee and Harrison Anthony. Fielding was on a high standard too. Seniors vs SSC Cricket Academy We won the toss and elected to bat . . Our opening partnership was 122 Kobe scored 38 Ben scored 102 not out then Cody carried on batting and building partnerships with the other boys. Cody ended up 106 not out . We scored 351. After lunch we started bowling Riley bowled 10 overs and picked up 3 for 43 he bowed really well and picked up important wickets and Okith kept the pressure on the other end picked up a wicket in his first ball he was unlucky as we dropped few catches on his bowling. Will Mahoney bowled really tight 1 for 43 . It ended up being a very close game they scored 323 .

23.01.2022 Day - 4 Game 3 Seniors vs Surrey Cricket Club Surrey batted first and made 191 runs. Will Mahony 2 wickets, Liam Jackson 3 wickets and Jayden Sands 3 wickets. U17s chased it down in the 21st over and we kept on batting the rest of the overs and end up getting 269 ... Ben 42*, Koby 74*, Cody 54* and Jayden 56*. Well done Jayden on his first 50. See more

10.01.2022 Day - 4 Game 3 Juniors vs Panadura The Lachies combined well for a 74 (58 balls) partnership to set us up for a good score. Then E. Chabert and Oliver Jackson really got the show on the road. They consolidated after 3 wickets for 4 runs in 5 overs slowed us down then went after the spinners. So good was their batting that the SL spinners were removed from the attack. (Has that ever happened in SL before?) 93 great runs. To gain a great total Will Jackson 37* jack Tee 22 and ...Cooper V 13* hit the ball to all parts of the ground and finished with 279 (32 wides). Clever cricket from the Panadura team kept them in touch with our score but we able to take a wicket at vital times and keep the pressure on them at all times. We finally prevailed by 13 runs. Great endeavour from the very tired boys (3rd 50 over game in hot/humid conditions). Cooper V was great at the death 2/53 (10), 1 wicket also to Ollie, Lachie Mair and Jack T but the destroyer was Harry Anthony 4/28 (10). (35 wides). See more

09.01.2022 Day - 5 Game 4 Juniors vs Kingfisher Club Kingfisher club started well 2/89 from 47 balls, 3/144 from 70 balls looking at around 400 from 30 overs!! Then a great fight back from the Gold Coast boys to to get 7/97 from 110 balls. Well in the game at that total (only 8/over for 30 overs). Ollie J 2/24 off 3, Cooper V 1/15(2), Jack T 2/35(6), Harry A 3/42(6), 23 wides total 241. Fielding was outstanding and the team worked hard together, always backing up each other, chasing har...d right to the finish. Batting was superb, scoring consistently with singles and boundaries without slogging. The target was always in right real chance until a couple of wickets and tight bowling pushed total just out of reach. Great knocks led by lachie Mair 74 (63 balls), Cooper V 44, Harry A 36, (only 14 wides). Fell short by 16 runs on a thrilling day of cricket. Almost 470 runs, 18 wickets, 60 overs. What a day! Seniors vs Bandaragama Cricket Club We batted first making 224. Coby 58, Jayden 60* and Riley 21. Bandaragama cricket club passed our score in the 35th over. Justin 3 wickets, Okith 2 wickets, Coby 2 wickets, Jayden got a another man of match for his 60* and coby got for his patient innings of 58.
