25.01.2022 Sincere apologies to our September Puppy Preschool Class ... it has just come to our attention that we overlooked sharing their photos until now. Some of these 'babies' will now be quite a bit bigger, so enjoy looking back at how cute they looked a couple of months ago!!! We have two spots left for our next Puppy Preschool class starting next Monday, 16 November, and this will be the last class for this year. So get in quick and call us to book your puppy in if you have a new... fur-baby. Classes run from 6-7pm on Monday evenings for 4 weeks. Not only does Puppy Preschool start the all important socialisation process before they are fully vaccinated & able to safely go out in public, but it also helps them to form a great positive association with coming to the vet that sets them up for stress free visits for the rest of their life. #Goldcoastvet #WherePetsAreFamily #hospofexcellence #puppypreschool

21.01.2022 With all this talk of 'Black Friday Sales', our Monday started with a Black Swan. We are proud to work closely with wildlife rescuer Rowley from Wild Bird Rescues GOLD COAST who rescued this swan from Robina where it is suspected that it's been bullied out of the water by dominant swans. Fortunately no obvious injuries other than being a bit thin, weak & disheveled. Thankfully the wonderful ambulance volunteers from Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation have collected the ...swan & transferred her to the wildlife hospital there, where she is under medical care with rest and recovery prescribed. We're thrilled to report that Annie has been happily reunited with her owner. ****************************** This little sweetie was found wandering on Pacific Boulevard in Broadbeach Waters today (Saturday 27 March) & she was kindly brought in to us.... Fortunately she's uninjured, but just a little terrified. We'll keep her safe, fed & watered over the weekend but would love to reunite her with her family ASAP. 06.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: In response to the announcement of the current Brisbane cluster and 3 day Greater Brisbane shutdown, we want to assure clients that we are still open for business as usual. However, as we are unable to fully "Social Distance" during vet consultations, in line with government directives for the whole of Qld, we will be wearing masks for your appointment & request you to please do the same when inside the clinic building.... We will also continue to restrict the number of clients in the waiting room to only 3 at a time. As you are probably familiar with our current procedure, please phone us from your car to check if we are ready to welcome you into the Reception area, or if you will be better off waiting a short while in you car before the clients ahead of you leave. But did you know that desexing or castrating male dogs reduces their chances of prostate problems later in life. It also elimates the possibility of testicular cancer and calms hyperactive or aggressive behaviour. Desexing also reduces their desire to cock their legs and mark their territory indoors, and not to mention the risk of unwanted pregnancies. ...
