23.01.2022 Important Notice regarding return to Netball 2021 Goldeagles Netball Club | News by Heidi O'Sullivan Players, Parents and Carers,... What an extraordinary year we have all experienced! The Goldeagles committee hopes you and your loved ones have been well during this difficult time of covid, lockdowns and home schooling. With the Victorian government restrictions finally easing somewhat, it looks likely we will be able to return to netball in 2021!! Casey Netball Association has plans in place for a safe return to the game we love. The committee is keen to see a return of all our players next year and as such we want to know how many of you will be playing again. You will be contacted soon by your coaches that you had at the start of this year. Once we have an idea of numbers we will open registrations. Returning to indoor netball may not be possible in the new year, pending government advice. So please be prepared for the fact we may be starting the season outdoors at Casey’s outdoor complex at Olive road, Doveton. Fees for next season will be notified soon. The committee need to work through fees paid this year. Please be patient with this process. We are working to keep fees as fair as possible, understanding we have only played a small number of games this year. We are also calling out for new committee members to join Goldeagles. 16.01.2022 Message from the President Hi everyone Casey Netball has issued the following statement due to the new restrictions we now face.... Dear Casesy Netball Community In light of this yesterday’s announcement by the State Government, Casey Netball Association must suspend all competitions and programs scheduled to return from Monday 13th July at Casey Stadium and Olive Rd Sporting Complex. The suspension will come into effect from Wednesday 8th July. Based on this advice we are entering Stage 3 restrictions for 6 weeks or until advised otherwise. We will approach this period as an interim suspension and work through the detail of these protocols over the coming days to ensure that where and when we have further detail it will be passed on to all members immediately. We will continue to take guidance from Netball Victoria, City of Casey and State and Federal Governments. Rest assured we will comply, as we have in the past, with all directives. Whilst this was not the news we wanted to hear we understand the importance of such measures for community health and safety. We will continue to plan and prepare for netball’s return, whenever that may be, with this priority in mind. It is important to us to maintain our sense of community through this time, so please reach out to us if you require any information.
