25.01.2022 Here at Golden Beach Holiday Park we are taking the Coronavirus seriously and therefore are closely monitoring and following Government issued advice. What does the Coronavirus (COVID-19) mean for our park and its guests? At this stage, Golden Beach Holiday Park is still open for guests who are in need of accommodation for essential travel only. We will not be taking bookings for any non-essential travel. ... As we understand it, essential travel is classed as traveling for a medical reason, on compassionate grounds, as part of the full time caravanning community, for work purposes and those transiting to their home town. As always, the health and safety of our guests and staff is our utmost priority. As many other businesses, we are taking extra precautions with cleaning, asking guests and staff to adhere to social distancing and to stay home if unwell. We will also be closing any park facilities that we feel can not adhere to social distancing. For guests traveling to the park for an essential reason, please consider all Government issued advice and cancel your booking if you fall into one of the following categories: 1. If you have returned from any overseas destination within the last 14 days and should be in self-isolation 2. If you have been in contact with someone who has contracted Coronavirus 3. If you have been experiencing any symptoms of the virus For Cancellations: We have amended our cancellation policy in response to the current advice for all non-essential travel to be cancelled. Our usual cancellation policy applies a fee of one night's accommodation, which is equal to your deposit. Under the circumstances, we are not charging guests this fee, instead we are offering our guests the option to hold their deposits on file as a credit for a future booking. 10.01.2022 Sticky Toffee Pudding in a Cup For those cold Winter nights in the caravan, why not try a feel-good microwave dessert! Yum Yum Cake 3 tbsp (25 g) unbleached all-purpose flour... 1 tbsp lightly packed brown sugar tsp baking powder 1 pinch of salt 1 tbsp softened butter 2 tbsp (30 ml) milk Syrup 3 tbsp (45 ml) maple syrup 1 tbsp (15 ml) water Method In a 1 -cup (375 ml) mug, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and butter with a fork until the butter forms pea-sized pieces. Add the milk and stir until smooth. In a small bowl, combine the maple syrup, and water. Spoon the mixture over the pudding batter. Place the mug on a plate in case it overflows as it cooks. Cook in the microwave oven for 1 minute. Depending on the microwave, continue to cook for 15 to 20 seconds or until the middle of the cake is cooked. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
