25.01.2022 The old man was ill again, for the umpteenth time, and called his wife to come to his bedside. As she sat by him, he whispered, Hilda, youve been with me all through the bad time. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I had my car accident, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you stayed right here. When my health started failing, you were still by my side. You know something, Hilda? What, dear? Asked Hilda, her eyes brimming with tears. Im beginning to think youre bad luck! YOU KNOW WHEN YOURE OLD WHEN The time you used to go out at night is the time you go to bed, or, you name your knees either the good one or the bad one, or, you walk into a room and cant remember why you went there.

25.01.2022 As we are unable to do parkrun at there is no reason why we cant have a Dads joke, so here we go: I was in a couples home trying to fix their Internet connection. The husband called out to his wife in the other room for the computer password. Start with a capital S, then 123, she shouted back. We tried S123 several times, but it didnt work. So we called the wife in. As she input the password, she muttered, I really dont know whats so difficult about typing Start123.... During COVID 19 , whenever you feel sad.. It helps to picture that somewhere in this world, theres a fool pulling on a door that says PUSH!

25.01.2022 Happy Hump Day parkrunners! TEMPORARY COURSE NOTICE: Some of you may have noticed the fencing that's gone up along the coastal pathway this week. This relates to some planned works going on along the coastline for the next couple of months. ... Please note as of this Saturday, the start and finish lines will remain relatively unchanged. The only section significantly different will be the turn around point at Short Street. Instead of turning right down Short St as we would normally, runners and walkers will be greeted by a lovely volunteer marshal at the first corner of Short St who will swing you around to turn straight back down the path you ascended on along Lamerough Pde. Ray is your Run Director this weekend and will give you a briefing of the course before setting off on your parkrun this weekend, so please make sure you arrive in time to hear details from 6:50am. 1st photo - closed off path. Photo credit: Ken Caughlin (thank you) 2nd photo - our temporary u-turn section for the next 8-10 weeks.

Miss Whack, Id like to get $30,000 loan for a holiday Patty looks at the frog in disbelief. In staying with the Bank policy pertaining to customer relations, she kindly asks him his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, adds the fact that his dad is Mick Jagger, and that its OK to give him a loan because he k...now the bank manager personally. Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral. The frog says, Sure, no problem. I have this and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about half an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed. Very confused, Patty explains that shell have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into the back office. She finds the manager and says Theres a frog at my window who says his name is Kermit Jagger, he claims to know you, says his dad is Mick Jagger, and wants to borrow $30,000, AND he wants to use this as collateral. She holds up the tiny pink elephant. I mean, what in the world is this thing? The bank manager looks back at her and says. Its a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. 14.01.2022 A man named Muldoon lived alone in the Irish countryside with a pet dog he doted on. The dog finally died, and Muldoon went to the parish priest and asked Father, my dog is dead. Could ya be sayin a mass for the creature? Father Patrick replied, Im afraid not, we cannot have services for an animal in the church, but theres a new denomination down the road, and no telling what they believe. Maybe theyll do somethin for the little creature Muldoon said, Ill go right away. Do you think $50,000 is enough to donate for the service? Father Patrick exclaimed, Glory be to God! Why didnt yu tell me the dog was Catholic?

07.01.2022 On the 8th August 2020, GB parkrun lost a very special member of our community, Ken Caughlin. Ken first started running with us back in the early days of 2014 just a few weeks following our launch, going on to record 74 parkruns. Always with a smile on his dial and in his eyes, he ended his parkrun record with a PB of 27:02 during our last event in March 2020. Please share in these parkrun moments captured with Ken and keep the Caughlin family in your thoughts ... Nb: This is being posted with consent from family. See more

03.01.2022 A Russian, an American, and a Blonde were talking one day. The Russian said, We were the first in space! The American said We were the first on the moon! The Blonde said, so what? Were going to be the first on the sun! The Russian and the American looked at each other and shook their heads. You cant land on the sun, you idiot! Youll burn up! said the Russian. To which the Blonde replied, Were not stupid, you know. Were going at night! Little Nancy was in t...he garden filling in a hole when her neighbour peered over the fence. Interested in what the cheeky faced youngster was doing, he politely asked, What are you up to there, Nancy? My goldfish died, replied Nancy tearfully, without looking up, and Ive just buried him. The neighbour was concerned, Thats an awfully big hole for a goldfish, isnt it? Nancy patted down the last heap of earth then replied, Thats because hes inside your cat! See more

03.01.2022 Who would believe that it has been five months since we had our last parkrun at Golden Beach. Here is another Dad's joke to hopefully get a laugh or two. Here goes: An elderly man in Brisbane calls his son in Sydney and says, I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing! Forty five years of misery is enough. Dad, what are you talking about? The son screams. We cant stand the sight of each other any longer, the old man says. W...ere sick of each other, and Im sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Adelaide and tell her, and he hangs up. Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. Like heck theyre getting divorced, she shouts, Ill take care of this She calls her dad immediately, and screams at him. You are NOT getting divorced! Dont do a single thing until I get there. Im calling my brother back, and well both be there tomorrow. Until then, dont do a thing. DO YOU HEAR ME? And hangs up. The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife, Okay, he says, theyre coming for Christmas and paying their own airfares. See more
