24.01.2022 Did you catch the Golden Horseshoes Festival committee on TODAY recently? Weather presenter Tim visited Beechworth to help spread the message that the High country is open for business. Whilst here Tim visited Beechworth Gold, one of our amazing sponsors. Will you be in Beechworth this Easter?

24.01.2022 Hi all, Following action to ban all non-essential gatherings, the Golden Horseshoes Festival has been cancelled this year, 11 and 12 April 2020. This is a tragedy to the Festival committee following months of work, and more so the community of Beechworth following the bushfires in January. The new committee were very excited to welcome an event that was bigger than ever in an effort to entertain the attendees and at the same time support local tourism, retailers, accommodati...on and dining operators. The Golden Horseshoes Festival is a very important asset to Beechworth and we do hope you can join us in celebrating on Easter Weekend in 2021. - The Committee See more

15.01.2022 A great big THANK YOU to all those who sponsored and supported this year's Golden Horseshoes Festival - as listed in the Program, on the Festival web page and in local media. To those who volunteered in various ways, a huge thank you: The CFA and The Old Cranks for displaying and explaining the amazing vehicles. ... Rod Devlin & the Chamber of Commerce, plus SES and the Lions, for setting up and monitoring the Parade route. The Correction Crew, who helped set up the Food Court and put out and returned the extra rubbish bins; Members of the Goldsworthy family (Pauline, Jodie, Steven, Trevour & Ben), for providing and packing up hay bales, for running the Kiosk as the Festival central office all day and for safety-checking the Food Court. Claire Pitcher, Tracey Newton, Jenny & Gerard Hogan, Sarah Pitcher, Nikki Clark, Daniel Goonan, Jill Moss & Karel Minetti and especially John Strang, who between them: put up and packed away 100 x 5m poles and the flags, cleaned tables in the food court, sang the National Anthem, played Easter Bunny, narrated the horse shoeing, helped organise and assemble the Parade, ran errands, picked up rubbish, packed up marquees and sorted about 50 extra rubbish bins and pulled them down to Loch St. North East Water for the water trailer & water bottles. Clare Rowland, Indigo Shire Council Tourism Officer, for constant support and management of much administration. Julia Vesval, marketing guru. We have not listed everything these wonderful volunteers have done over the weekend and beyond, but without them,\ we could not have run the Festival. Golden Horseshoes Festival Committee : Amanda Hausler, Geoff Clark, Mel Tompkins, Lyn Clark & Beryl Strang.
