22.01.2022 Escaping the four walls of my sister's house, I grabbed my laptop and headed out on a tour of the local Melbourne suburbs. On holiday for just a couple of weeks, I was desperate for inspiration. My writer's genes were throbbing in my veins; words needed to be exorcised and fast! The problem was I wasn't feeling inspired. Jumping in the small Toyota at my disposal, I cruised down to Williamstown. Water, old Navy vessels and a cafe with a view was what I thought I headed. ...A woman on a mission, I was not going to be distracted by limited parking options, bad drivers or even having to lug computer, bag and phone from car to cafe. Unpacking the laptop, putting in the ear buds and turning on the background music, everything around me faded and I felt the deep heart sigh of satisfaction as I started to tap away at the keyboard. Characters came to life, unimaginable consequences were layered upon desperate actions as hero and heroine fought attraction and took actions together...In just one moment I was transported, transfixed and translated into a world of creative energy. This is one way to gain inspiration...location, zoning out distractions, inspirational views...and of course, drinks and food on tap...but I am sure there are others. How do you get inspired to write?

It was like a gushing river of pent up revelation and mysteries from heaven being poured out but it wasn’t information but fresh and new love encounters and encounters of the fire and fear of the Lord on paper. It carries such a weighty anointing that when people read it won’t just be inspired but will be taken up into encounters, visions, and branded by the throne room of heaven. I had closed this page, however, I have recently re-registered Golden Pen as I want to rebuild my writing business and connect with other writers for the purpose of sharing wisdom. Our goldenpen.com.au website is back up, with access to all the magazine articles that were published through Golden Pen Magazine and Golden Pen for Christian Women's Magazine available in the store. I may even be brave and consider a new publication. But in the meantime, I will be sharing inspirational wisdom messages on the goldenpen.com.au site to inspire your heart.
