21.01.2022 Dear Families, In preparation for transitioning into remote learning to support a Learning From Home program, all families will be required to access Compass. Please check that you have access to Compass. If you are not currently connected, please notify the school office today or tomorrow and we will ensure that you are supported to be connected.... Later today, a google form will be distributed to all families via an email through compass. We would like all families to complete this google form so that we are aware of the readiness of families to support a Learning From Home platform. Thank you

NO NEED TO SELF ISOLATE Bendigo Health is urging anyone who attended the following places during th...e past week but not including today to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms. - Bunnings Kangaroo Flat - Woolworths Golden Square If you develop respiratory symptoms please get tested immediately and do not visit anywhere before or after being tested for COVID-19. Symptoms include; loss or changes in sense of smell or taste, fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of sense of smell or taste. Coronavirus is in our community but the way we behave will dictate the impact the virus can have on our community. Help is available for people who require essential items while isolating and waiting for their results, please call the City of Greater Bendigo’s COVID-19 helpline on 5434 6237. Bendigo Health operates two COVID-19 screening clinics in Bendigo with no appointment required. Our drive through clinic is open from 10am-5.30pm daily and is accessible via the Anne Caudle Centre Driveway, 100 Barnard Street. Our walk in COVID-19 Screening Clinic on Stewart Street is open from 10am-5.30pm seven days a week.

12.01.2022 Roadmap to easing coronavirus restrictions in schools Remainder of Term 3 We will continue to provide remote and flexible learning for the remainder of Term 3 to our students. Onsite supervision continues with the same current guidelines in place around eligibility.... 5th - 9th October (first week of Term 4) Remote and flexible learning will continue for all students (P-6) Onsite supervision continues with the same current guidelines in place around eligibility. From 12th October (second week of Term 4) All students from Prep to Grade 6 will return to full-time on-site schooling by Friday 16th October. Further information around this will be shared once decisions are made. We are able to stagger the return of different year levels as appropriate during this week.

10.01.2022 Friday 18th December - Early Finish Dear families, A reminder that school finishes at 1:30 pm this Friday - the last day of term for the year.... We look forward to spending this final week with your children before they head off to enjoy the summer holidays.

07.01.2022 Back to School Dates Please find below key dates for the first week back at school. Wednesday 27th January - This day is a statewide student free day. Only staff attend school on this day.... Thursday 28th January - Parent/Carer, Student & Teacher Introduction and Communication meetings are to be held. Students attend for the meeting only and then return home. Friday 29th January - Our first regular school day with all students in attendance. Bookings for Thursday's meetings will be open on Compass in the upcoming days. Our new families will be sent an email with information on how to access Compass. Keep enjoying the holidays!

06.01.2022 Woolworths earn & learn Golden Square Primary School would like to thank all of those people who supported our school with Woolworths earn and learn. Three boxes of equipment arrived at school last week and can be seen on display in our front office. Next week all equipment will be allocated to learning spaces for children to enjoy as they learn.

04.01.2022 Dear Families Please be aware that two additional Student Free Days have been given by the Minister to allow schools to continue their preparation for Transition to Remote Learning. These two days are Friday 27th March (this coming Friday) and Tuesday 14th April (first day of Term 2).... The notice of this was only provided last night. I understand that this is short notice for families and sincerely apologise for that. I had not heard or read anything prior that gave an indication that this could be happening. I will make contact with Camp Australia who provides our Out of School Hours Care program at the school. Please keep taking care and don't hesitate to make contact if required.
