23.01.2022 Looks like East Kalgoorlie Primary School put our "Pay it Forward" donations for school stationery to good use. Pictured below with some of their supplies are students Angeleasha McLean and Eureka Tinker, both aged 8 and in Year 3.



20.01.2022 The Goldfields-Esperance Community Trust and Kyran O'Donnell MLA are working together to start a Community Chest to help out residents and families who might be doing it tough during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Goldfields has a reputation as a very caring and generous community so if you can help out, no matter how small or large the donation, please see details below.

18.01.2022 COVID-19 COMMUNITY CHEST- Raising funds to help those individuals and families doing it tough in our community due to COVID-19. To donate to the fund, please send a pm, email [email protected] or phone/sms Pam on 0412 479 637. You can also drop cash or cheque donations into Kyran O'Donnell's office, 226 Hannan Street. If you are a business, we can send you an invoice. The more money raised, the more people we can help. We will advertise when applications open to access the fund. Please feel free to share this post so we can spread the word to as many people as possible.

11.01.2022 Thank you Mining Legends for the amazing job you did in raising funds for our community and making it possible for the GECT to contribute on your behalf to this fantastic initiative of Curtin University/WASM to trying to encourage students to come to KB. We hope they all enjoy the programme and decide to make KB home for their studies and eventually return to work in our region.

10.01.2022 Thanks to Ashton George and EBM for sponsoring our co-hosting of the KBCCI December Business After Hours at Hammond Park. The Trust sponsored 5 $100 Pay it Forward vouchers for school books/stationery. The winners were drawn out and then paid it forward by donating their voucher to a local school. Lias Ellery, Chair of the GECT, presented the winners with their certificates - Ken Ball, Kalgoorlie Monumental Works; Tom Spurling, Coopers Carpet Cleaning; Bradley Crockett, BMC Plumbing & Gas; Angelo Sbizzirri, Westralia Homes and Troy Anderson, SWG.

10.01.2022 The Goldfields Esperance Community Trust is sponsoring a pilot program with Top Marks Learning Centres Kalgoorlie to offer five scholarships to local students to help ease their transition into High School or hone their study skills for higher education.



10.01.2022 THE GOLDFIELDS ESPERANCE COMMUNITY TRUST WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR CURRENT PARTNERS. We look forward to continuing to work with our current partners and to creating more partnerships with local businesses/organisations in the new year to help support Goldfields-Esperance communities.

09.01.2022 Thanks to Highgrade Personnel for being the first company to make a donation to the Community Chest. Your support is greatly appreciated. The Chest has been set up to provide emergency relief to individuals and families doing it tough due to COVID-19. We will advertise when applications open to receive assistance from the Chest. If you are a business or resident who would like to make a contribution to the Chest, please pm or email us.

08.01.2022 Thanks to Indiana Lysaght and Kal Miner for story on our Tutoring Scholarships. The Trust has sponsored $5,000 worth of scholarships. In the photo are two of the students who received a scholarship to Top Marks Learning Centres Kalgoorlie, Arewha and Aniwa. In the other photo, taken earlier in the year when we were launching the scholarships, are Ann Spence from Top Marks and Lisa Ellery, Chair of the GECT.

04.01.2022 Thanks again Mining Legends/Worthy Cause for making it possible to contribute to this fantastic programme to try to encourage WASM students to study in KB. The students look like they are having a lot of fun. Kalgoorlie-Boulder may not have a beach but we have some amazing places to visit and things to do. Thanks Kal Miner for stories and photos.
