25.01.2022 End of the month. 27th at Goldfields! May have a couple shows sooner just confirming

25.01.2022 Good Morning all attached is our new Lunch and Dinner menu with Bootleggers able to open from the 15th May for Dinner and lunch starting on Weds 20th we have changed the menu around. Also with the restrictions still place we are asking that people ring ahead to book a table for dinner also there will be a max of 6 persons per table only and it will be full table service to comply with the opening requirements from the NT heath Dept thank you for your understanding in these times

Our car has now been located - Thank you to everyone who helped in locating it and to the NT police for your assistance. ...All the tools from the vehicle are still missing - please keep an eye out for anyone trying to sell secondhand tools or tools dumped anywhere. Our twin cab Hilux with number plates TJ 19 was stolen last night from the Mercure carpark. 14.01.2022 It’s very disappointing to learn that the Northern Territory Government has handed over the Battery Hill Mining Centre to an Alice Springs based organisation. E...arlier this year the Barkly Regional Council spoke with the Member for Barkly and offered to negotiate a 5-year management agreement to secure the long-term future of the Battery Hill Mining and Visitor Centre. It appears that the Northern Territory Government has not only ignored our Council's offer but for reasons unknown it also refused to conduct an open and transparent procurement process that would have provided an opportunity for Tennant Creek based organisations to tender or express an interest in managing the day to day operations at Battery Hill. The underground mine tour and the gold stamp battery tour have now closed and, on top this, the Member for Barkly and the Northern Territory Government have failed to deliver the $5.5 million Turbo Charging Tourism money they promised for Tennant Creek back on 23 February 2018. Tennant Creek has an incredibly rich mining history and we want to ensure visitors have an enjoyable and informative visit to the region. With Battery Hill and the Tennant Creek Visitor Information Centre now in the hands of an Alice Springs based organisation, the question this government needs to answer is - what other services and programs have been taken away from Tennant Creek and the Barkly region over the last three years and what will be next? - Steven Edgington
