14.01.2022 Dear Families, How exciting .......it is only one more sleep till our Long day care reopens tomorrow to you all. We will be open Wednesday Jan 6 at 6.45am till 6pm.... We have been very busy over the past two days setting up the centre and refreshing our first aid but we all very excited about seeing you all. Please note, drop off and pick ups will be all out the front door again. Educators will greet you with a mask. You won't be able to see it but there will be a smile under their masks!! Parents are not permitted into the service just yet!!!! I trust that you have all had a small play with the Xap smile app or desktop version to become more familiar with the program. We have noted some families have updated and added guardians and information to your enrolment which is brilliant Thank you. We will be using Xap as our main source of communication for emails, invoices and more excitingly communication from your child educator. Please catch us if you need any support with the app. Happy New Year to you all and we look forward to seeing you all soon

12.01.2022 Chief Health Officer Advice: Viral gastro outbreak There has been an increase in viral gastroenteritis in childcare centres - here is what you need to know to p...rotect about protecting yourself and your family. Symptoms can take up to three days to develop and usually last one or two days, sometimes longer. Watch out for: Nausea Vomiting Diarrhoea Fever Abdominal pain Headache Muscle aches Kids with any of these symptoms should stay home while sick and for 48 hours after their symptoms have stopped. If symptoms persist - visit your GP. Gastro is highly infectious, so hygiene is particularly important. Remember: Washing hands with soap and water is the best way to prevent infection - alcohol hand sanitisers, while effective against some viruses such as coronavirus, are not effective against gastroenteritis. If someone in your household is sick, thoroughly clean and sterilise the areas where they have been sick to protect the other people in your house. Due to COVID the books will be sent in the mail to those who register....
