25.01.2022 Saturday, 12th of September.... the EGHA awards night!!! 12th September, 12th September, 12 Setepmer (how triggering) Essential details - 12th September, 6.30pm, EGHA Stadium, $20 per ticket, contact EGHA or club for ticket... Essentially this the Brownlow Medal of Kalgoorlie Hockey, WAGS and HABS you will be expected to answer questions like 'What are you wearing?', 'How much do you hate being here?', 'How much do you like our timeless sign that sits on the front wall?'.... Players, I expect most of you will sit their in great fear of potentially having to overcome the thought of public speaking.... others named Daniel Lavery will sit their struggling to overcome the fact they may not be recognised for standing in the same place in the D every game and making good use of their team mates good work! Of course the night wouldn't be complete without a MC, and we have the best! Kenneth J Sharp, the J stands for 'Jgood Bloke', or more likely 'Jyou are a pom, get out of here', who knows but it stands for something regal no doubt!!! Anyways i digress, get down 12th of September, the 245th day of the year!! (that is probably wrong but i bet at least one of you googled it ) regards, VP Izaac

20.01.2022 SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT Good afternoon all, I would like to remind all people attending the Senior Awards Night this Saturday that the dress code is Smart Casual, and it is the preference of EGHA for people not to wear club polo shirts or other club attire.... Thank you. EGHA Management

17.01.2022 In a first in many years Pegasus A1 Men joined Norths A1 Men for a refreshment after the A1 Men's Grand Final on Saturday night. Several stalwarts of Goldfields hockey said this hasn't happened since the good ole grass days at Wallace Park. Well done on both clubs for agreeing to get together post game, something that would be great to see others do in years to come.

11.01.2022 Good morning hockey lovers! On the eve of the biggest day of our season I wanted to share some information with you. I have included an aerial photo of our venue, with some key areas marked for everyone’s reference, namely: - With approval from Racing, Gaming & Liquor, and to assist with potential congestion issues throughout the afternoon/evening, we have a planned Pop-Up Bar (4:00pm 8:00pm). This will be located at the northern end of the stadium as demarcated in blue in ...the aerial photo, noting the Bar will be 'cash only'. We ask that clubs please refrain from setting up any shade shelters or alike between this Bar and the railing just before you walk under the veranda. We want people to be able to move freely through this area. - KCLD have confirmed their Ice-Cream Van will be at the grounds from 100pm-300pm, and I have put them at the southern end of the turf as marked in pink. They will not obstruct access to the ground. - Steve Neighbour has today organised star pickets and danger tape to delineate the overflow parking area behind the grass field. We don't want anyone driving on the grass field for obvious reasons, and if people want to leave their vehicles inside the grounds overnight then that is okay, we will confirm a time the stadium will be open Sunday for collection. We must stress that EGHA takes no responsibility for the safety or insurance of these vehicles whilst on EGHA grounds. We are hoping to purchase some more bollards to move people away from cuing inside the main doors, again this will help with inside congestion. It the expectation of the Executive that all clubs assist with trying to get some sort of order along the veranda as we expect many people to line this area. Remember, COVID is still a factor, we need to respect that we are actually lucky enough to have Grand Finals, and this is at a time when many sports are aren't even having a season. Please follow the basic guidelines we have all year should hold us in good stead. Good luck to all teams tomorrow! Regards, Stadium Management

09.01.2022 From 5 December 2020, Eastern Goldfields Hockey Stadium must maintain contact registers for WA Health Department COVID-19 contact tracing. If COVID-19 is detected in the WA community, contact registers help protect us all by enabling the WA Health Contact Team to quickly identify and assist anyone that may have been exposed to COVID-19. To help, the WA Government has developed a free app, SafeWA, which will provide businesses with a digital contact register system.... SafeWA is an efficient and safe way to record patron and visitor contact details where they can check-in, using the app. EGHA & Hockey WA are fully committed to being part of the State Government SafeWA contact register. - We would like all of our patrons who are 16 years or older to download the App, we will have QR codes at the entry point of Eastern Goldfields Hockey Stadium, noting multiple people can be signed in under one log in. - Where necessary there are numerous QR codes available for people to scan, this will prevent and unnecessary waiting time. - Staff and athletes 16 years or older will be required to either scan in or sign the manual register. - The Safe WA app is free and will provide the simplest and most effective way to register attendance at the venue. - Download the SafeWA app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store now. It is the responsibility of all members and clubs to ensure these rules are followed as the penalties for not complying are extreme. Thank you EGHA MANAGEMENT
