15.01.2022 Hi everyone. After replying to a few recent requests, we want to let you all know that we do process coloured fleece. Our family has it's own small flock of black merino sheep that we process. The attached pictures are of Gary with his pet coloured lamb that he and Hansie have hand raised.

13.01.2022 This is a picture of gorgeous merino natural chocolate wool coming out of our woolen mill into rovings ready to be spun and twisted into yarn for one of our customers. This wool is from sheep off the Te Kooti Pastoral Company farm in Bookham N.S.W. These sheep are treated with kindness and with animal welfare as the first priority. They are also grazed in the most sustainable farming practices possible.

12.01.2022 Please see the video of our worsted carder in operation. If anyone wants to see videos or images of specific processes, please just ask.

04.01.2022 All of us here at the Goldfields Mohair Farm can relate to the happiness of this little one who we photographed at the Bendigo Sheep Show, because... WE CAN NOW MAKE YARN. After several repairs and lots of cleaning and adjusting by our magician of a technician, our woolen mill, spinning frame and twister are all working like a dream. We are now capable of woolen and semi worsted yarn We cannot process "pure" alpaca into yarn as yet, but we can process alpaca in a wool blen...d. We are currently running samples runs through our system which should be finished in the next week or two at most. We have a few jobs already in the queue ready to go once we finish the samples, so if you are interested in placing an order please get in contact with us as soon as possible. For any questions, please contact Linn Armour on 0457 913 686 Thanks for everyone's support over the last few months

02.01.2022 Sorry everyone that it has been so long between posts. We plan to improve this from now on. Our latest video is of our batt making machine which we use for creating the filling for doona's and dog coats. This blend is of black and white wool and dog fur destined to be made into dog coats.
