25.01.2022 Goldfields United Football Club Junior Development Program will be having a sign on this coming Monday afternoon, 9th March between 5pm and 6pm at the PCYC. Players between 5-15 years of age who would like to join in the fun, please come along to the Charters Towers PCYC on Monday and sign on. Further information will be available tomorrow.

24.01.2022 Goldfields United Football Club sign on is this Monday afternoon 9th March between 5pm - 6pm. We welcome all new and existing players aged between 5-15 for the Junior Development Program, please note, this also means if your child is 4 and turning 5 this year they are able to join. The Junior Development Program is on for 14 weeks with game days included as well. This year the fees will be $130 for a 14 week program which is the same as last year. We do not play during scho...ol holidays. We can also do payment plans, so talk to Kris or Suzanne if you would like this option. We always let the children have a trial period to make sure they definitely want to play soccer before you pay fees for the year. We will be starting the season on Saturday 9th May as this is usually when the cooler months begin. When junior soccer starts, the first group will be 5-9 year olds at 9 - 10:30am and the second group is 10 - 15 year olds at 10:30 - 12pm. Times will be subject to change when Game Days begin. The Junior Development Program is all about learning the skills and techniques that are used in soccer. The children are put into small groups and will learn different techniques with our coaches and then rotate after a certain time. Then a small game will be played before the session finishes. These skills are then used in their games and Game Days that they play against each other in their age groups. It is amazing to see how much their skills improve throughout the year. We will not be travelling for competitions, unless there is enough interest for the age groups and this will only be for Carnivals, which are usually held in Townsville or Ayr. When the season starts, it is fine for your children to wear joggers and shorts and shirts that they feel comfortable having a kick around with the other children. However, we do recommend wearing shin guards. We do have club shirts for sale that are $25 each and we will have to put an order in for more sizes, so if you would like to purchase any gear, please put your order in as soon as possible. We will also be selling the gold thinskin football socks for $12 and shin guards for $10. Please see us at the PCYC for any further information. 24.01.2022 The Goldfields United Football Club season has come to an end for 2019 and what a fantastic way to end it. This was definitely one of our best days ever!! Thank you very much to all the parents who participated today, it was so much fun and there were a lot of laughs with our parents and children games. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, the parents or the children We will definitely be having more of these fun days in the future. Congratulations to our only parent goal scorer, Tui Maxwell, and congratulations also to Callum Bartschat for his very impressive goal! It just goes to show how much our juniors have learned and how well they play, the parents just couldn’t get past them. Great work Juniors!! Here are some photos of the 4-8 year olds with parents.

17.01.2022 Our last game of the day, 10 - 15 Year Olds v Parents! This was an extremely entertaining game Unfortunately we ran out of time for our Parents v Parents game, but there will be another chance to take each other on. Lots of energetic, enthusiastic parents and children on this field. The children were just to good for the parents this time around.

12.01.2022 Presentation and Breakup Day for Junior Soccer 2019. Saturday 14th September 10am - 12pm Thank you to the parents who have signed up for the fun games. We have put you into teams for the morning, please see us at the desk. We will have three games with parents and children, and we have saved the best for last, Parents verse Parents! ... We would like to start our first game at 10:10, these will only be 10 minute games with a 5 minute break in between. Parents will play for 15 minutes. Don’t forget to warm up! Please play safe and have fun. Sausage sizzle, drinks and chocolates are all available for $1 each on Saturday. There will be cake for everyone after presentation.
