25.01.2022 Wonderful walk last weekend as evidenced by the happy and satisfied faces from the picture below! I'm reaching out with a special offer tonight. If you haven't walked the Goldfields track before, coming back from injury or rediscovering your love of walking, this Sunday could be for you! I'm proposing a walk, around 9km return, this Sunday the 21st of June. Mostly flat, a few small rocky inclines. Start time of 9am, around 2 hours.... Let me know if anyone is interested. Oh yeah, thanks for liking the page, but do the hardest part and come on a walk! Cheers See more

23.01.2022 Wow, almost at a 100 likes! Great to know there are so many keen bushwalkers! Thanks to everyone who has liked the page so far. Now, I went out for a 10km walk along the Goldfields Track Monday arvo and thought that along with people posting about upcoming walks, people might like to add the pace of the walk. Some walks may be slow and relaxed, others may be quick and frenetic, might be good to let people know in advance. I'm also thinking about taking people out and introduc...ing them to the Goldfields track, especially around Castlemaine, share the beauty of the Track, would people be interested? Cheers Jeremy See more

20.01.2022 Wattle on my mind! Happy Wattle Day! Wattle they think of next ... Shake Wattle and Roll It doesn’t stop! When you get the chance get out onto the Goldfields Track and enjoy the beautiful wattle! And when we can, hopefully soon, who would like to come exploring the Goldfields Track? We will do different lengths and sections of the track! Enjoy! Jez

18.01.2022 Another wonderful walk today, lovely weather and great to meet some new walkers! Thanks!

16.01.2022 Hi, it's Tammy here. Jez isn't available to herd us all this Sunday 12th July. Is anyone interested in a stroll further afield at the Lerderderg Gorge Blackwood? Any other suggestions most welcome. There are a few people who need to practice more steep/hilly terrain for their upcoming treks, so pop any suggestions here.

15.01.2022 Came across this exploration tempting mine near the Garfield wheel in Chewton today!

15.01.2022 Sorry, I’ve been slack with posting! Times are tough and they’re going to get tougher, unfortunately! Don’t forget your mental and physical health! The Goldfields Track is there for you to walk! ... A good time to start exploring the track! And let’s think to a future where we have no COVID-19 and we can get out on the track and walk as a group and explore the track together! I’m also planning to walk the Goldfields Track from Ballarat to Bendigo in March 2021, so get training! And check out the wattle!

15.01.2022 The bom.gov.au website is forecasting possible thunderstorms and hail in addition to rain for the region on Sunday, so the decision has been made to cancel the walk up at Mount Alexander. Hopefully we can re-schedule for next Sunday.

14.01.2022 Hello Bushwalkers! It's Winter! I'm going out for a walk up Mt Alexander on Sunday the 9th of August. I haven't been on a walk for a while so I'm keen to get the blood pumping and sweat happening. At present I'm thinking up Mt Alexander, down the other side then back up again and down to the starting point, probably 4 hours and there will be hills! Oh yeah, just for my narcuissistic side I have included a photo I took in the bush recently. Come walk off those winter blues...! Jez See more

10.01.2022 Sunday the 12th of July is shaping up as the next big group walk! More details to come. I'm keen to bush the boundaries of bush walking and hope to organise a night walk when the weather warms up, anyone keen?

10.01.2022 I know, sorry it's been so long but I think it's time we started planning more walks on the Goldfields track! Let me know your thoughts on lengths of walks you are interested in and time availability! I have plans to walk the whole track in April/May 2019 so would be keen to get out and walking! Cheers Jez

10.01.2022 Good evening Goldfield Track Walking Group! Excuse my slackness, it's been way to long since I have posted and I've missed getting out on the track so much! I'm keen to build up our presence on the track over the next month and get back to regular walks of varying lengths and pace. Just a secret heads up, I'm keen to walk the track end to end to raise money for HALT, a not for profit group and I'm thinking later this year or early next year, more details to follow. Keep yo...ur eye on our Facebook page for details of the first walk in the next couple of weeks! Cheers! See more

08.01.2022 We're walking the whole length of the Goldfields track as a fundraiser for HALT. 210km's in 6 days! We're going to organise a brief one day walk in the Castlemaine area for those that don't want to do the whole walk! April 8th to the 14th of April 2019! Get walking!

07.01.2022 The walk this Sunday July 12th is up at Mount Alexander. We'll meet at a yet-to-be-confirmed place at 9am (later starting time due to predicted freezing weather). The walk will be 2-3 hours long with some steep parts.

07.01.2022 Ok, it's always going to be difficult to find a suitable date and time for everyone but we can have a crack! I'm looking at a walk for those just beginning to explore the Goldfields track and have basic fitness. 2pm, Saturday the 31st of March, from Castlemaine. I know it's easter Saturday but if you are around, come along for a walk! I'm looking at a longer walk, at least 20km's, from Mt Alexander towards Bendigo on Sunday the 15th of April, early start! ... Cheers Jez See more

03.01.2022 Exciting news! There are plans in the pipeline to walk all 210 km's of the Goldfields Track for charity in March 2017. I think it might be time to get back out on the track!
