17.01.2022 STC TO DISAPPEAR?? The solar industry is receiving many calls from consumers concerned that the Federal Government solar rebate will soon be gone. The rebate is based on the value of STC’s, Small Technology Certificates, and is the Government contribution to your solar project. This contribution can amount to $4,000 depending on the size of the solar energy system you put on your roof. The news in the 2014 Budget was not good for the solar industry with Mr Abbotts Gov...ernment earmarking the solar incentives for review and in this cost cutting budget, we can have a pretty good guess at what that will entail. Went like hot cakes over the last Easter break and fully sold out in the last week. A new order has been placed an we expect new panel kits within 8 weeks. Same high quality panels, however with the decline in the Aussie dollar we are not sure at this stage what the price will be. Several orders have been placed regardless with the comments coming back that price is not the be all. These intending customers have been referred to us, seen the quality from their friends purchases and like what they see! Love those comments! 05.01.2022 Just a quick shout out to all home solar owners. Don't wait till you get your next power bill to find out your solar inverter is not working! Make a point of walking past it once or twice a week during the day and have a quick glance to ensure a fault light is not on. I had a few phone calls last month from people who had solar installed by companies that were no longer around, asking if we could call around to fix the system. All good, no problem with that and most still covered by the inverter warranty, but there was still a huge power bill that could have been avoided by the odd glance every now and then.
