22.01.2022 Congratulations to Ballarat District Golf Association for their victory in the 2020 Victorian Junior Country Regions! Ballarat were victorious by 25 shots over South Western. The Super Region made up of Western and Wimmera districts took out the overall net component of the teams event. Bailey Goodall (Hume Super Region) and Jazy Roberts (North West Super Region) have been crowned the 2020 Victorian Country Boys & Girls Champions respectively. 22.01.2022 SENIOR GOLF IS BACK IN VICTORIA After an eight month break, Victorian senior golf returned at Hepburn Springs for the 2020 Hepburn Springs Senior Amateur. Colin George (pictured) produced two fantastic rounds of golf to finish two-over-par, resulting in a two-shot victory over James Lavender. ... The event will continue to Midlands Golf Club tomorrow before finishing at Ballarat Golf Club on Sunday! Ballarat District have a slender lead in the overall gross whilst Bailey Goodall (Hume) and Molly McLean (Peninsula) lead the way in the individual Junior Country Championships.... 18.01.2022 Congratulations to Cheryl Disher and Greg Wilson for their victories at today's Gardiners Run Senior Amateur! Disher finished with 27 scratch stableford points, one ahead of Helen Drake whilst Judy Fitzgerald won the stableford event with 38 points. Sadly both winners were absent in the photo. In the men's event, Wilson produced a fantastic score of four-under 68, ahead of a host of players on 69. Darren Browning won the net section with a brilliant 67. 17.01.2022 Over 250 players gathered this week to contest the Cobram Barooga Senior Amateur! Helen Pascoe produced a fantastic week finishing with a grand total of 94 scratch stableford points. Pascoe's scores of 31, 31 and 32 were far too strong for the competition. Julie Daniel also had a fantastic week as she took out the Overall Women's Stableford with a total of 103 points. In the men's, Greg Rhodes came from two shots behind going in to the final round to win by five shots.... Rhodes's final round of 70 was the best of the week as he finished ahead of 2019 champion Gordon Claney. The men's net saw local hero Gary Hunt reign supreme finishing with a 220 total. 13.01.2022 Congratulations to the 2020 Royal Women's Hospital 4BBB champions, Delcie Baggs and Tracy Ranton (pictured) from Stawell Golf Club, who recorded an outstanding 49 points, defeating a wide range of clubs throughout Victoria. We are pleased to announce that a total of $4795.00 was raised. The funds will be used to purchase new equipment and to train specialist doctors in urogynaecology, for the Urogynae unit (all matters pelvic floor) at the Royal Women's Hospital.
