18.01.2022 JUST RELEASED: 2021 EF KING ISLAND CLASSIC After successful events between 2018-20 where over $50,000 was raised for Make-A-Wish foundation, the fourth Essendon Fields King Island Classic will be played at Ocean Dunes and Cape Wickham on 20-21 February 2021.... Due to 2020 reschedules and an appetite for golfers to treat themselves to a special 2021 experience, weekend availability between February and April is scarce. This event therefore provides a brilliant opportunity to play bucket list courses across a peak season weekend, whilst also supporting an amazing cause at the same time. 18.01.2022 Wondering when international travel will restart? This new chart could hold the answer. The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s newly-formed Tourism Restart Taskforce approved the timetable for domestic and international travel, as well as business events, venues and attractions, at its weekly meeting last Friday. It’s understood Tourism Minister Simon Birmingham attended and presented at the meeting.... According to the proposed timetable, Aussies would be able to travel to New Zealand and the Pacific from 1 July, with travel to other countries deemed safe under a bilateral health agreement to restart from 10 September. However, it appears all international travel wouldn’t resume until after 15 December. The Tourism Restart Taskforce is planning for all domestic travel, including domestic expedition cruises, to restart from 5 June.

14.01.2022 Despite a very tough year in the tourism industry we are happy to announce that Golf Tourism Australia has again been awarded "Australia's Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator" for 2020. This follows on from our win last year. The World Golf Awards are part of the World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 27th anniversary. World Golf Awards voting runs from February to September each year. Votes come from professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry, including senior executives, tour operators, agents and media professionals, and may also be cast by the public (golf tourism consumers).

12.01.2022 A big Congratulations to John Pandazopoulos a regular traveller with Golf Tourism Australia. Yesterday John aced the par 3 7th hole at Red Mountain Golf Club in Phuket Thailand. Some welcome good news in these trying difficult times. John has plenty of spare time to reminisce this achivement when he arrives back in Australia to start his 14 day holiday at home.
