24.01.2022 Most Clubs in the Golf West Gippsland District have implemented the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services directive issued on Friday night (March 27), that all Golf West Gippsland courses are CLOSED until midnight April 13th 2020. These measures are a part of the Victorian Governments Stage 2 restrictions regarding COVID-19. 22.01.2022 As a result of continuing restrictions across West Gippsland, the GWG committee has accepted the recommendation of Match and Play and declared the winners of the 2020 Pennant competition. All round 7 matches were declared as drawn and the final ladder positions were produced from that. Medallions and Flags will be presented to the winning clubs before the end of the year. 11.01.2022 Golf Australia has released details of the 2020 Victorian Boys Junior Country Championship. The Championship will be contested at Cobram Barooga Golf Club from May 16 - 17. GA is looking for teams of up to nine from each of the 16 Victorian District Associations, however a minimum of six scores is required each round to compete for the title. 11.01.2022 Mens Match and Play has made some changes to the Pennant Draw for 2020, starting next Sunday. THE CHANGES APPLY ONLY TO SCRATCH DIVISION 2, following the withdrawl of Mirboo North. 11.01.2022 More than half of the qualifying rounds for the 2020 Victorian Four-Ball Championship have been completed however there are still a number of opportunities to qualify. Winners at each venue will have the opportunity to compete for the State Championship at Sorrento Golf Club on Monday 16 March and The National (Moonah Course) on Tuesday 17 March. 09.01.2022 The Trafalgar Golf Club played host to the GWG 2019 Womens Foursomes Championships on Monday 18th November 2019. The course was in excellent condition and we had a beautiful day for the event.
