22.01.2022 Chrissy Beresford has had a thought for sometime and has finally put it into production - a beautiful linen tea towel featuring local towns, major landmarks and our iconic wineries. Chrissy wanted to make something that people could use again and again that would remind them of their visit to the Goulburn River and Ranges region. The timing is perfect with the end of our very long lockdown in Victoria and celebrating travel again to regional areas. Take one home as a reminder of your visit or give it as a gift for Christmas to family or perhaps purchase it as a thankyou present - it's a very versatile gift. It is available at Harvest Moon Nagambie, local wineries and Tallarook Hotel. For further enquiries contact Chrissy on 0419339708.

19.01.2022 *** VSC BREAKING NEWS *** *** LA NIÑA OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY *** Today the Bureau of Meteorology has officially declared that La Niña is underway in the tropical ...Pacific. What does that mean for us? La Niña conditions typically lead to above-average rainfall, cooler daytime temperatures, reduced risk of drought, more tropical cyclones and an earlier start to the northern wet season. All of these are not guaranteed and every La Niña event is different but the forecast of more rain for the rest of 2020 is definitely going to be welcomed by most! 06.01.2022 Kestrel Aviation will be conducting night helicopter firebombing training in the areas surrounding #Avenel and #Longwood this evening. We acknowledge the impact... of night operations on the local community and, where possible, will endeavour to avoid rural infrastructure. It is planned that the activity will be completed by 11:00 pm. This training is a vital component of our risk mitigation strategy, providing safe and effective night fire capability with a focus on the local community safety during the fire season. We thank the local community for their understanding, and welcome any questions or concerns regarding the training or our night aerial firefighting operations.
