25.01.2022 This morning Good Counsel Primary School held our 2021 Leadership Assembly, led by Fr Kerry Crowley. Mr Kenny was proud to announce the 2021 leaders. Congratulations to the following students.... School Captains - Frankie-Rose and Tim. Students Council - Tayla, Rose, Emileeya, Jarrod, Gurmaan and Lincoln. Sports Colour House Captains- Marcellin- Declan and Jemimah MacKillop-Hayley and Phoenix Clancy- Sienna and Jordan Polding- Lydia and Adam The assembly was celebrated with students, parents and carers in attendance.

22.01.2022 Yesterday the Good Counsel Primary School Choir practiced their usual Friday session and added a surprise celebration for Thomas Van Bael who is currently our longest-serving choir member. It was his last session as a Yr 6 student, before he moves onto Good Counsel College. The choir children and I will be very sad to see him go.

20.01.2022 Good Counsel Primary School's Yr 2DM have sent some extra special Christmas cheer! The special deliveries will be landing in mailboxes shortly! The 2DM students have been learning about locations in HASS and the importance of addressing mail correctly. They made gorgeous Christmas cards, addressed their envelopes, placed their stamps and then headed to the post office to send them on their way.

Good Counsel Primary School's Mini Vinnies have a State of Origin raffle running. Tickets 50c each. Raffle drawn- today, Wednesday 18th November at 1.10pm. Tickets on sale now! Blue covered area from 8am.

18.01.2022 Yesterday, Good Counsel Primary School's 2DM State of Origin dress up! Yesterdays photos celebrated the unknown win... Our one and only NSW Blues supporter vs the rest of the class QLD Maroon supporters! Today we know the outcome. Their faces say it all. Go Queensland!

18.01.2022 Last night Good Counsel Primary School Yr 6 students celebrated their Graduation with a mass at Mother of Good Counsel Church presided by Fr Kerry Crowley, and a dinner held at the Innisfail Shire Hall. It was a wonderful night, firstly to see the church full for the first time since our Covid restrictions then to walk into the Shire Hall for dinner. What an amazing venue! Many thanks for the combined efforts of staff to organise the event, one, our year sixes will remember. We wish them every success for the future as they enter secondary schooling next year.

15.01.2022 Today, Good Counsel Primary School's Yr 6 Lightning Netball Team celebrated their successful season with an end of season breakup! A water slide and water activities were the main feature in this fun filled afternoon! Thanks to Mrs Russell and to Ms Helm for organising. We bid a fond farewell to the Year 6 Lightning team, as they head off to College next year.

10.01.2022 Last Friday at Good Counsel Primary School, our long awaited History Wall was installed. There are three parts to the breeze way wall and it looks spectacular. As you enter from Rankin Street you will first note the Mamu History and welcome overlayed above the picture of the Innisfail District. The second board is of our four Colour House teams and information about our house names. The final two boards are a snap shot of our school history in word and pictures which takes... us back to 1903. They will give many years of viewing by students, staff and parents and explain both our ancient and more recent history. If you get a chance, take the time to glance by. See more

09.01.2022 Today the children of 'Good Counsel Playgroup' celebrated another amazing year with their annual Christmas Party. The children were visited by Santa and Nikki the Christmas Fairy. Mr Kenny and Mrs McElhinney farewelled our Playgroup Pre Preps who will begin their schooling journey next year. Lots of fun was had by all! Thank you to the amazing Mrs McElhinney, Mrs Cavallaro and Ms Strachan for all of your dedication and hard work to make our playgroup a wonderful place to com...e. 05.01.2022 Good Counsel Primary School presents - GCPS Mini Vinnies Monster Christmas Raffle... Hot off the press today! A late entry Roscoes Voucher has also been donated by The Pervan Family. Now we have an amazing 12 prizes to be won, donated by families of GCPS and GCPS supporting local businesses. Tomorrow a flyer will be sent home with an envelope with details on how to purchase. Tickets $1.00 each Tickets will also be on sale daily in the blue covered area. Raffle Drawn Concert Night!! Thursday 3 December. Thank you for supporting our Mini Vinnies.

04.01.2022 Today at Good Counsel Primary School we celebrated the World Cup Soccer Grand Final- Portugal vs Teachers. Congratulations to Portugal, the first Yr 4 team to ever get through to the finals. Portugal put up a decent fight against the staff. Final score 3-1, to the staff.... Congratulations to all!
