25.01.2022 Fresh homemade Raspberry and Mixed Berry jam. Yum. The smells in my house took me back to my Nans house waiting for the jam pan. Fresh homemade Bread and fresh cream. We whipped the bread around the jam pan piled on the cream. That to us as kids was better than any sweets. Yum.

24.01.2022 Hello all not meaning to harp but just in case people misunderstood my reasons for a mask. I have a auto immune disease and so I need to be careful 90 percent of the people that come into my shop observe social distancing and do the sanitising. But it is just that odd person who does not, who will not and they put myself and others at risk. So it is because of those people that I now ask for masks to be worn. So to all of the people who do the correct thing I am sorry, but I think you will understand. I will apologise to anyone now that this offends but it is what I feel I must do. 23.01.2022 I have had a delivery of some more fabrics. For those ladies who where looking for darker colours for men. From tomorrow you will have to ring me and we will do a virtual visit of my shop. Oder and pre pay. I will cut your fabric. If you need to come down the street then you can collect at the shop door. For some I can drop in mail box on my way home. 16.01.2022 It would seem I had a fairy visit my shop earlier this morning. I found this waiting for me on my counter when I arrived. Thank you Ann and Roy I love you both very much and appreciate everything that you both do for me. This shop would not be the same if you two weren’t here to be on this journey with me. Thank you also to your children for sharing such gorgeous parents. Have a lovely Mother’s Day tomorrow and to all my other mothers I wish you all a lovely Mother’s Day. I am lucky to have both so close together.

16.01.2022 Just finished the top of the Dinosaur friends quilt. Still have to make the pillow case and quilt the quilt. But I think you will agree it is very cute. I haven’t made it exactly the same as the pattern as I didn’t have a full panel so I substitute the top and bottom sections. But it is correct with everything else. Kits will be available this week.

15.01.2022 Hello I thought I had better touch base and let you know I am still here. The changes in the shop are going well. I am hoping that by Monday I should have 2 shops operating with the 3rd still to be organised. I am open but with only the middle shop operating at this moment. This is a sneak peak at some of the new changes.

14.01.2022 The business of re-vamping the shop is a slow job so to that end I am opening the middle shop ONLY. So that people are able come and purchase fabric to make masks. It will be knock on the door though and I will let you in. Plus I will ask that people if you have masks please wear them. I will be. I also have some samples of masks. I am not selling them but they are there to show you how you can make your own. I have made mine 4 ply. Please stay safe. Be well and patient. We will get though this if we stick together. 13.01.2022 Beginners Spinning classes will commence Thursday 26th November at 1 pm to 3pm. We still have a spot if you would like to join this group. It will run weekly up until the 17th December. Cost $10 per person. I have spare wheels that can be used. Bookings essential.

13.01.2022 For those wondering. I am a bit behind with the BOM. So we will make this August block. Using the same templates as Junes Block B is the burgundy colour. G is the brown colour. E/F are mustard. Again you make 2. You will have to bare with me. The shop is under going a rather big lot of changes. It is a lot of work. But hopefully I will be able catch up.

11.01.2022 This post may shock you a little and I havent been able to let all friends and family know but all day I have been thinking about what to write and have decide...d to just be honest about why I need a few weeks rest from my work at the moment. Dont stress I feel really good now and thankfully have no noticeable damage, one very, very, very lucky girl . The last couple of months I have felt a little off balance at times, getting a little tired, having trouble concentrating to write patterns, slight headaches, forgetting little thing and vision not 100 percent. As life is a little different at the moment I put it down to these reasons and being so busy with orders, chasing up parcels missing because of postage with covid etc and thought maybe its a little anxiety because of the extra pressure. Well never think that PLEASE. Last weekend I spent Saturday in bed as not feeling well and catching up on rest and sleep thinking thats maybe all I needed. Sunday I wasnt as tired but was feeling as if I couldnt cope with noise and people around me talking. Monday I was feeling fine but thought I better book the MRI test I had gotten from my doctor the week before because of the strange feelings the last couple of months, just to be extra safe and check everything was ok. They booked me in for Wednesday and I went along feeling fine, didnt really think they would find anything. Four hours later I was rang by my doctor to say go straight to emergency at Monash and she rang to let them know I was on my way. A few tests later and admitted to the stroke ward, I was told I have been having mini strokes and have a blockage in the Cerebellum part of my brain, very, very scary stuff especially on my own because of covid no one is aloud in. Im back home now (yay) and have been told by doctors to rest, strictly NO work or stress for the next few weeks (yep not happy about that as I hate sitting resting but know its important to take care so I can be back ASAP) So I am asking you to please be patient for the next few weeks while I get help to process the BOMs orders and get them in the post. August group will be starting as soon as possible. If you do have any urgent questions regarding your order please only use email [email protected] and I will answer when I can. Texts, phone calls and Facebook messages will not be answered (sorry). If you have any friends not on Facebook and signed up to my BOM programs I would really appreciate if you could share this info with them. I am certainly one strong cookie so will be back to normal working hours as soon as doctors give me the go ahead, thanks in advance for your patience and understanding, lots of hugs Libby See more

10.01.2022 Today’s job was to make jam. Had small amount of frozen raspberries so made jam. Also Grapefruit Citrus Marmalade now I am making Lime Citrus Marmalade. Yum. The lemons were given to me as there are lots around at the moment and I just bought a few extras to add. What other fruit or Vegetables are their that are plentiful at this time of the year? Looking for more fruit to make more jam! What vegetables or fruit are good to be planting now? I think my old preserving kit will be coming out of the cupboard. Any thoughts.

This wasnt suppose to be there. So half way though my shower I am told what their new toy is. Trip to the vet. They are okay. Back home. Re- wash, new clothing, of to work strong coffee before I opened. Now to start my day which I was already struggling with. I think they call it Monday itis. Hope everyone is well. Stay safe. 07.01.2022 Hello everyone. Yes I am still here. There is a lot happening at the shop at the moment. I am doing a stocktake but also the shop is about to have a massive revamp. There are a lot of changes coming. The shop is currently shut so I can make these changes. 07.01.2022 For all of those ladies wondering yes I am still spinning in my spare time. I purchased some Dyed Alpaca of line which I dont normally do. But I love to play with different colours and textures and fibres. So far this is what I have got. Not sure if I will blend with a plain wool. Dye a wool and blend. Or just spin the lot of alpaca and blend together. Mmmmmmm. But this is how I relax.

07.01.2022 Working hard to get new fabrics out and the shop re structure.

07.01.2022 As we are starting to be able to move around a little I am thinking that in a few weeks we may look to start some of our groups. Given the new room we will have restrictions but we can make it work if everyone does the right thing. So I am going to start taking names for spinning groups. I will have a beginners class. This is for those wishing to learn or refresh their skills etc. That is a Thursday afternoon but will look at another day if numbers require. I do have a few ...spare spinning wheels for use. You will need to let me know ASAP if you will require one. I am also thinking of having some advanced spinning groups. These are for those ladies looking to be with others who just enjoy spinning. I may have an evening group as well. Days not set with these as yet but please pop into the shop or message me for more information. But it is important that I know numbers as each group will have a limit on it. Don’t forget that I sell raw sheep and alpaca fleece and hand spun wool. Both wool and Alpaca. If you are looking to buy a wheel I have them for sale regularly. I will be taking names for our sit and sew groups as well. They are run Wednesday and Friday. These are a good opportunity for ladies to come along and finish projects that they have started and are not sure how to finish. Or just want to enjoy the company of other crafters. 04.01.2022 What a great start to the day. Thank you to Bev at Latte at High and Chris and the Terang Newsagents. I locked myself out of the shop my keys phone and car keys are all in side. My spare is with a trusty friend who usually comes to my aid. Too far to grab it this time. So with help they organised Warrnambool Locksmiths. As most would know (not me ) We have a lovely local guy who works for them and was here within 15 minutes. 2 seconds my shop was open. Good thing he was the man who had installed all of the locks. Also thanks to Chris Hoare who gave her morale support. I think I will be getting some extra spares.
