We have 12 locations for your containers. Two sites are large cash drive -thru sites. The drive -thru sites are very convenient - you can drive your car (and trailer) into our facility and unload close to the sorting bays. 08.01.2022 Mark Paull is celebrating National Recycle Week learning new skills in with a full-time job at Good Sammy Containers for Change drive through facility. Mark has worked with Good Sammy for 29 years and with the recent introduction of the Containers for Change program in WA, he has moved up to be a full-time employee in the container recycling centre. Already well known in WA for its op shops, Good Sammy has been encouraging re-using and recycling in the community for more tha...n 60 years and, with the introduction of the Containers for Change Scheme, now hosts 16 container collection points in the metropolitan area one of the largest network operators in Perth. After a recent trial in the Good Sammy Canning Vale Container Deposit Drive thru, Mark said he fell in love with the job and is now employed in the role full time. I absolutely love talking to the customers, it’s the best, Mark said. 06.01.2022 Josh Turner is celebrating National Recycling week in his first paid employment role at the Good Sammy Containers for Change drive through facility. Josh volunteered for Good Sammy when he left high school, is thrilled to be working as part of the Containers for Change recycling program having heard about the position from his younger brother Cameron who volunteers at the Wanneroo Good Sammy shop. To celebrate National Recycling Week (9-15 Nov), Good Sammy has announced it ...has collected more than 864,000 containers across its 16 collection locations in the metro area. I love working with the team on the Containers for Change recycling program and saying hi to the locals, Josh said. Everyone is so fun, welcoming, and friendly! Charlette said she loves visiting Good Sammy because the experience is always so friendly. It’s the best experience with Good Sammy, they always greet you with a smile and when they told me that I’m had 1 millionth bottle, that really made my day!... The best part of the whole process is to tell my family and friends to save their bottles for me, so I can help my brother fill his piggy bank. 05.01.2022 Good Sammy op shops are now online all thanks to Lotterywest’s COVID-19 Relief Fund support grant of $800,000 The grant will not only make our goods more accessible to consumers but also provide meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability. Good Sammy CEO, Melanie Kiely said the closure of Good Sammy’s 29 retail stores during the COVID shutdown was the catalyst for the not-for-profit to launch its curated online store for special goods, collectables, and ...unique items. We are grateful for Lotterywest’s support which has enabled us to continue our core purpose of providing meaningful employment opportunities for West Australians with disability, despite our loss of income during the shop closures, Melanie said. While our retail stores will always be considered the face of Good Sammy Enterprises, creating the online shop has invigorated our way of doing business - expanding our reach nationally and addressing changing shopping behaviours.
