15.01.2022 Congratulations Dinah Bryant and Good Shepherd Netball for getting the Social Media Award at the recent Canberra Netball ACT Awards. The award was for a video they made about what to do when returning to training after COVID restrictions eased. The video received 1.2k views.

He was so impressed by the resilience, bravery and courage of our students with their learning and their journey of transition to high school. The kids were so engaged with his advice and his life they kept asking questions!

05.01.2022 Good Shepherd students, staff and special guests from the Royal Australian Air Force enjoyed making paper planes to commemorate the Royal Australian Air Force’s 100th Birthday! There was fantastic prizes donated by the Air Force, lots of laughs and Mrs Aitken even caught a paper plane in her belt loop! Wow! A fun day celebrated by our amazing school! #AusAirForce #AirForce100

04.01.2022 'Last Friday, the Year 4 students showcased their learning about endangered animals at the Wildlife Warrior Expo. The students were extremely passionate about sharing and promoting the importance of protecting so many creatures that are in danger of becoming extinct. Their displays were highly informative and thought-provoking. What wonderful advocates for change you are. Well done!'

04.01.2022 This week one of our military families went to a very special service at the Governor Generals house for their Dad Brigadier Isaac Seidl who received the insignia of the Order of Australia for exceptional service to the ADF in health executive leadership. Isaac was part of the initial ADF response to the pandemic and his role as the Director General Health Business and Plans has focused on the delivery of healthcare to ADF members during the pandemic. LTCOL Peta Mantel’s ( Olivia and Will’s Mum) role as a clinical epidemiologist during COVID-19 Pandemic has been to lead the team of epidemiologists in the Commonwealth Health Department National Incident Room. Thank you to the Seidl family for your service to our country during this very difficult time of Covid and congratulations from the Good Shepherd Community.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to Mr Jim Fisher from the Good Shepherd Community Council for receiving the Mel Dunbar Humble Achievers award for his outstanding service to our school community. Jim has been a council member since 2014 and has volunteered at fetes, BBQ’s and working bees . Thanks Jim for all your hard work and support at Good Shepherd.

01.01.2022 Michael Webb-Magician! As a bit of end of term fun, Mr Austin organized a magician to come to our school and visit the staff and Years 4,K,2 and 5 last week. Mr Austin actually taught Michael 20 years ago! He will be back on Tuesday and will work with Years 1, 3 and 6 and then do a workshop with the ‘Heart of God’ children. Everyone at Good Shepherd enjoyed having Michael visit our school!

01.01.2022 Year one have been investigating natural, managed and constructed places. Lately, they have been paying close attention to helping manage areas of the school playground.
