22.01.2022 **** NEWS FLASH ******SUPERANNUATION GUARANTEE AMNESTY IS NOW LAW***** Good news for businesses who are behind in their Superannuation Guarantee charges (SGC). From March 6th 2020, employers with unpaid Super Guarantee (SG) for quarters between 1 July 1992 and 31 March 2018 can now report and pay those superannuation payments, and not incur administration charges or penalties. ... The unpaid superannuation contributions, once paid during the amnesty, will also be an allowable deductible expense for income tax purposes. This amnesty will end at 11:59 p.m. on 7th September 2020, after which time all legislated charges and penalties will apply as per usual under the Superannuation Guarantee Charge Act 1992.
