23.01.2022 Hopefully one day we can jump over the water again #holiday #untrashingourplanet #untrashingtheplanet #plasticfreeoceans

23.01.2022 We’ve been invited to talk live tomorrow morning about the ups and downs and business and family life. Harry will no doubt spill the beans on how grumpy I can get and I’ll share what really happens! You can head to the link and register. It’s FREE.

22.01.2022 The camera man gets to try on the first ever pair of limited edition monochrome shade. Come get em peeps. We only made 498 pairs in this batch. #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies at a time

21.01.2022 Not only are our sunglasses 100% recycled from a single-use plastic bottle, but they are also modular. Everything clips effortlessly together in seconds. Good for repair and customisation. We now sell our add on clip kits for $19.99 so depending on which sneakers you’re wearing or what day of the week it is, you can mix up your look.... #untrashingourplanet one clip kit at a time. #madeinsydney

18.01.2022 United Nations- Entrepreneurship for Sustainability Hear from 5 entrepreneurs who built products that never existed before or changed business focus and are influencing global supply chains for good. How exciting for Harry and me to be invited to talk and do a Q&A Panel discussion. Hosted by the amazing Jennifer Nielson from Ekko.world.... Harry has had to let the school know his reason for not attending school at lunchtime talking supply chains for the UN. Priceless. I believe you can register at www.unglobalcompact.org #untrashingtheplanet one panel discussion at a time @unitednations @ekko.world

17.01.2022 Someone’s making a film. Who’d have thought 2.5 years ago we’d have a film crew by our side.

16.01.2022 Peace and quiet

14.01.2022 Just another day by the pool #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies by the pool #bondibeach #sunglasses #untrashingtheplanet #untrashtheplanet

14.01.2022 There’s a lot that goes into making a pair of our sunnies. 1 x 600ml bottle = 1 pair. 100% recycled goodness made in Sydney. Worn by the Good Citizens of the world.... #untrashingourplanet

13.01.2022 A customer message to make any business owner’s day. As we make and dispatch every pair from our Sydney workshop, we often wonder about the good citizen that’s receiving them. It feels nice to know they love them.... One of the many unique things about our sunnies is they are made from a discarded 600ml single-use plastic bottle. Even our hinges are made from the same 100% recycled plastic.

13.01.2022 RIP Terence Conran. English designer, restaurateur, and businessman. Had a real impact on me as a kid. I spent hours walking around his store called Habitat. I also was fortunate enough to have some of my design work exhibited at the Design Museum at Butlers Wharf London. A building he founded. Oh yes, he made salad bowls cool!

12.01.2022 When someone takes the time out from sipping rosé on a yacht to review your shades... you publish it #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies and a glass of rose at a time

11.01.2022 We’re still pinching ourselves that we won two - Best in Class for Product Design Housewares and Objects and Gold for Fashion Impact - and with a product that’s 100% recycled. Boom! 08.01.2022 Couple of sneaky awards today. What makes this especially exciting is we won using 100% recycled plastic. 1 soda bottle = 1 pair. How refreshing! Thanks to our first 1000 citizens who believed in the idea so much you bought a pair.... #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies at a time

07.01.2022 See how we turn a 600ml plastic bottle into sunnies.

07.01.2022 Lemonade transitions into our monochrome frame fronts. We might sell these as limited limited edition one offs.

07.01.2022 This week is National Recycling Week so it would be remiss of us not to mention it, especially considering the topic this year is about encouraging people to close the recycling loop by buying products made from recycled materials. At 100% recycled, that’s us! Our modular sunnies are made in Sydney from the plastic PET drinks bottles you throw into your recycling bins. So you keep recycling and we’ll keep on making! Shoutout to @cleanupaustralia for featuring our story. ... #untrashingourplanet one single-use bottle at a time.

06.01.2022 With every failure we learn more about our unique process of turning the plastic of one 600ml discarded single-use bottle into these sunnies. Working with 100% recycled plastic throws up daily challenges but it helps that we make our sunnies in Sydney. Under our watchful eye, we can quickly tweak the settings and pull levers to make production run smoothly. 0% virgin plastic. 100% recycled plastic. ... #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies at a time. #untrashtheplanet #sunglasses #madeinsydney

06.01.2022 Such a good experience getting interviewed today. We will share the piece once finalised.

06.01.2022 Kind words from a fellow good citizen. If you know of any other good citizens who are looking for a new pair of sunnies. Please send them our way, we’d love to untrash our planet quicker ;) #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies at a time

05.01.2022 Today is #GlobalRecyclingDay so for every sale today, we’ll put out an extra kilo of plastic from the ocean. It’s our favourite way to give back! Global Recycling Day is a day that’s designed to recognise the people, places and activities that showcase what an important role recycling plays in contributing to an environmentally stable planet and a greener future which will benefit all. So here’s to all the #RecyclingHeroes out there also doing their bit to preserve our precio...us resources and secure the future of our planet. It is a day for the world to come together and put the planet first. #untrashingourplanet a pair of sunglasses and 2kg of ocean plastic at a time

05.01.2022 Last night we took out The Design Files award for best Sustainable Design Initiative 2020. They held the award ceremony online this year and we watched it live as a family. Harry and Archie's grandparents also tuned in from the UK. When it was announced, we all went mental, even Grandma and Grandad. Thanks to The Design Files, and sponsors @laminexau and @countryroad for supporting Australian made initiatives.... Thanks also to @modernister for hosting the event. This project has been a real challenge, but one worth fighting for. We continue to break new ground and find better ways to make good things happen. They have made a beautiful film about us which we will share once it goes live. #untrashingourplanet #projectearth

04.01.2022 Still amazes us the journey a discarded single-use plastic bottle goes on to end up in this box as a pair of 100% recycled modular sunnies. #untrashingourplanet our pair of sunnies at a time #madeinsydney #modular

04.01.2022 Clip kit add on. Effortlessly swap clips to match your fav sneakers #untrashingourplanet one pair of modular sunnies at a time

04.01.2022 Those yellow dots on the floor are for people to social distance, as they wait to get in to the @prada Corner Shop space at Selfridges London. The window is ours. 100% recycled sunnies hanging with fashion royalty. Damn you Covid.... where is everyone! #projectearth

03.01.2022 Christmas mailing cut off dates are looming As you know, I run this business with Harry (9) & Archie (8). Archie’s already been trying to get hold of Santa to make sure people can get our sunnies if they want them and whilst Santa may be able to deliver on Christmas Eve, we sadly can’t.... So, we’ve been chatting to Sendle as back up and they tell us you’ll need to be quick if you want a fresh pair of sunnies to arrive in time to put under the tree. Mailing cut off dates are as follows: Canada - 23 November US - 30 November Rest of the world - 30 November Regional Australia - 30 November UK - 9 December Metro Australia (not Sydney) & NZ - 14 December Sydney metro- 16 December #untrashingourplanet one pair under the tree at a time

02.01.2022 The aim of our business is to help 'untrash the planet' by reversing the damage caused by discarded plastic bottles. We turn trash into good. 1 x 600ml bottle = frame front, hinges and arms. 100% recycled. ... 1.25 x 600ml bottles = case inner, outer fabric & chord. 100% recycled. (The cotton thread used to sew the case is not 100% recycled. yet) Box & welcome card = 100% recycled & printed with plant based ink. Our premium polarised lenses are NOT recycled. Our unique approach to sustainability & design has picked us up ‘Product Best in Class’ & ‘Fashion Gold’ at the International Good Design Awards. As well as taking out The Design Files Sustainable Initiative for 2020. Not bad eh considering most of product is made from 100% trash! #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies at a time

02.01.2022 A good little announcement. Last week we took out The Design Files award for Best Sustainable Idea 2020. We've burned the candle at ends we didn't think existed to make this happen! A win to show that 100% recycled products are possible, can be made in Australia and can look good ;) They made a short film which tells our story. A shout out to my little business partners who don't give dad hard time when everything is failing! https://vimeo.com/475316983

02.01.2022 Lots of sunnies ready for soon to be good citizens. Freshly made in Sydney today. 0% virgin plastic. 100% recycled single-use plastic bottles. 1 bottle makes 1 pair. ... #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunnies at a time #untrashtheplanet

01.01.2022 Only the brave jump from the top!

01.01.2022 Honesty and transparency are key to any brand's success. Both earn trust. We see many brands making a big deal of where they design their products but very, very few actually tell you where they make them. In this day and age, it’s not good enough! What do they have to hide?... Where and how we manufacture ours is front and centre on our website. We’re not perfect but we are radically transparent about how we make our sunglasses. Under our watchful eye in Sydney, we turn the plastic from one 600ml discarded single-use bottle into our frames and unique screw-less hinges. 0% virgin plastic. 100% recycled plastic. We encourage questions, so if you do have a question, please feel free to email us [email protected] #untrashingourplanet one pair of sunglasses at a time #untrashtheplanet #sunglasses #fashion #greenwashing
