25.01.2022 Its here. The new Good Deed Garage merch site. https://gooddeedtees.bigcartel.com/... You can order any one (or all three) of the GDG bikes on your choice of white or grey t-shirt. We may add more colours later but that bumps up the price another five bucks. A little more expensive for biggies (more material you see). One price for shipping no matter how many you order (although more than three probably would not fit in one pre-paid satchel). And we will have more merch soon (stickers anyone?). Five bucks from each t-shirt sale goes into the GDG build kitty.

25.01.2022 I am trying to keep other online platforms up to date so I will be posting to the GDG Wordpress website from time to time. Not just on the GDG projects but my own as well. https://gooddeedgarage.wordpress.com/

23.01.2022 Hey all. Its kinda quiet around the garages at the moment isnt it? Lenny and the Geelong team are well into the 2020 GDG build, cant wait to see how this little smoker turns out. Meanwhile - turns out I am a fourth generation rider. ... My great grandad Ernest Edward Mobbs rode a BSA (thats him in 1925), my grandparents both rode (one had a Matchless) and my father finally owned up and told me he rode a BSA Bantam D7. So I thought "better join the fam and get a BSA". I wasnt really looking that hard, then a neighbour called by and saw me in the garage. "Place looks a little empty of bikes" he says. "Yeah" I says, I am looking for a BSA project. "Well" says he while pointing to his house across the road, "there are two old ones in a shed out the back there. Fix one up for me and you can have the other". So now I have two BSAs to build. I am also slowly starting to think about GDG2021 and what might be in the garage. Amazing to think that this all kicked off five years ago now. Three bikes down, number four on the way and I am thinking about number five already. Must be the self - isolation...

18.01.2022 What is the strangest named part you have ever had to find for one of your bikes? I am currently looking online for a "Lucas Magneto Advance Cable Plunger". Tanya said "check the bottom drawer in the kitchen".... I spent an hour searching in there but could not find it.

09.01.2022 Hi ho fellow lockdownees. Despite the frankly weird 2020 we are all dealing with, GDG forges on. We now have second prize for the future raffle draw in stock, a copy of the graphic novel version of Matt Oxleys "Stealing Speed", signed by Matt.... All tucked away safe and sound until the day we can gather around a bike again and pull some tickets.

09.01.2022 Thank you for your assistance, looking forward to some clean gloss black bits

08.01.2022 Righto. Time for the 2019 GDG wrap up. Its finally over - we drew the raffle and some lucky people now have some great prizes as a result.... I only wish I had a bike for every person who bought a ticket, donated parts, time or money to the build, or supported GDG on Facebook, you have ALL made this work and I could not do it without you. Thank you, and thanks to you two well deserved charities will be providing much needed support to local at risk youth and homeless folk. Special thanks: To MCA Motorcycle Accessories Supermarket Pty Ltd in Ringwood for your support with a very generous donation of stock. To B.O.E for the beautiful second prize and SIX ONE for the cool third prize. To Mark Lloyd Riddell and Dave Payne for making the bike look so amazing. You are both wonderful people and I am happy that you will get to see the bike around town. To Carl Chapman for being my "fixer" there at the end to make sure the bike ran. And to Lenny Norton and David Collins for providing the next bike and leading the Geelong team into the next GDG challenge. Now I get to have a break. My garage will have more space and I will have more time to spend with my beautiful, understanding, caring and supportive wife Tanya. And maybe my own bike projects will get more attention and my own CB350 may get finished for the race track. I look forward to the next iteration of GDG to come out of Geelong, dont expect anything soon but rest assured in the coming months things will start to happen again as the 2020 project plan is finalised. GDG continues, thanks to you.

07.01.2022 Thanks Tim, outstanding workmanship

06.01.2022 Thank you to the master painters of Everton Your stunning work is appreciated even though you wish to remain anonymous we really appreciate it

06.01.2022 Hey teamsters, The first five new GDG tees arrived today and will you in the post this week. More are due from the printers later this week so they wont be far behind.... Good Deed Good Times.

06.01.2022 I have submitted an idea. What if you could ride to a great destination with a few mates, stay the weekend (camp or whatever), go on day rides, go to a bike show or show your bike ... ... and, participate in mens mental health workshops, talks, forums and sessions hosted across the two days that you can pick and choose from.... After two days of fun, riding, looking and talking you would ride home with old mates, or new mates. You had a ball and you have a better idea about where to start with your own mental health. I call it "The Good Weekend".

06.01.2022 Thank you to Peter Szerwinski for your master finn welding skills

06.01.2022 From bits great things grow .....

05.01.2022 Hey team, I will be representing Good Deed Garage again in this year's Distinguished Gentleman Ride. The plan is to multiple laps of Healesville looking dapper on the VF500.... If you can sponsor me, I would really appreciate it.

05.01.2022 Hello there fellow houseboundees. You may think Good Deed Garage is closed but no, we are busy on several fronts. The work continues at GDG Geelong on the next bike and back here at GDG HQ we have come up with some new treats for you that might put some money in the GDG build kitty for us.... Check out the new range of T-shirts soon to be available. One for each of the bikes built so far, all expertly represented by the talented Adam Berry. Adam will be managing the orders and producing the T-shirts, with some of the proceeds to GDG. We are not sure on the T-shirt colour range yet but there wont be black (that much I know). There might even be a special deal on a three pack if you want the set - more details soon.

05.01.2022 I hope that another Six One show happens one day, such a great vibe.

04.01.2022 Update time folks! Yep 2020 can throw all the curve balls it wants at Good Deed Garage but the team are still plugging along on the bike. We now have Craig on board to help Lenny out down in Geelong with the final build stretch, thanks heaps Craig for joining the GDG build project.... Our next challenge is getting the old chrome parts back to new. Craig can get a few parts back to standard with a good polish but most need re chroming to do them justice. So - we need help with chrome plating. Do you know a business that would support Good Deed Garage with this work? Or are you feeling generous and want to sponsor the chrome plating? This will make a real difference to the Suzuki build and finish the bike off beautifully. If you have any leads - please DM GDG and we will get back to you. Thanks.
