17.01.2022 Frank has just been for a trip to check out some new courses around Europe. Early feedback is that some were good and some were ordinary. More to come soon. Once he is back, I only get a couple of days to get the details from him before he heads off on another golfing holiday in Thailand for a couple of weeks!

17.01.2022 The group has also played Diamond Bay in Nha Trang. Frank reports that the layout there is good but the condition of the course was only fair, which may be due to the current rainy season. 14.01.2022 This is Frank's hairbrush. He has used one of these for as long as I can remember. I have never seen anyone else use one like this. Does anyone else have one or know someone who does?

12.01.2022 Frank here reporting on the recent golf tour to Vietnam for AFL Past Players. 6 players including Stan Alves, Graeme Schultz,Gary Hardeman,Ross Dillon. Steve McCann and myself travelled in March to Hoi An, a heritage listed city in Vietnam, for a week of golf. Weather conditions were ideal and we played 5 games of golf at 3 locations.... Courses were Montgomerie Links (Colin Montgomerie design), BRG Danang Golf club (Greg Norman design) and Ba Na Hills ( Luke Donald design) all good courses - the latter being in the best condition. Great time was had by all with many a story from the past and plenty of laughs. The dining was good-except for a poor choice of restaurant late in the week. Not likely to live that one down. Winner of the "Vietnam Brownlow" was former Demon Ross Dillon with an excellent average of 36 points over 5 rounds with Stan not too far behind. Next year the tour will return to Thailand and will include some new courses to test our skills. A couple of players stayed on for another week on these tours and were joined by their partners (helps get the boys trip over the line). Worth thinking about if you are interested in joining the tour in 2019!

06.01.2022 Frank is currently in Vietnam testing out a few new courses with a tour group of 28. Today they played at Vinpearl in Nha Trang. The Vinpearl golf course is on an island off Nha Trang and you get there by boat! Frank reckons the course design and condition is outstanding and the staff made it very easy to have an enjoyable day.
