06.01.2022 Weeeeeeeeeeee! Alright, let's talk Unfair by Good Games Publishing. Jordan of Jordan Plays Blue recently posted a review, and it reminded me how.... MUCH I LOV...E THIS GAME. OK. There. I said it. Unfair is a deck building, tableau building, engine building game of making your own theme park. It's right up my and Matt's alley since we're dorks and love theme parks. We had stayed away from it for a long time because top reviewers had said how overly "mean" and "take that" it is. Now. Matt and I are not offended by either of those things, but we trusted what said reviewer said. So Matt played this with his friend Mike and he was like "Jenn. You're going to love this, that review was completely wrong for us." So he brought it home and we played like three times in a row we loved it so much. So here's the low down, folks. You can play an entire game and literally never do anything mean. There are two options on the "mean" cards and YOU CAN CHOOSE TO NEVER BE MEAN. This always baffles my brain, because like... you have a choice. So if you all agree before the game to not be mean, then ta da! No meanness. You can have some take that, but again, you can chose to do that. Or take those cards out. Again- not hard. Anyway. My contender for fav new game to me of 2021 so far. See more

02.01.2022 "There's a lot to love about Funfair; from the great components to the thoughtful card drafting and engine building aspects to the variety of ways to score victory points. I love how your park seems to really take shape if you strategize properly. There's is tons of gameplay packed into a pretty small price point too. 01.01.2022 "For $13, Fluttering Souls has everything I’m looking for in a light two player micro game. Its size and the ease of teaching it to new players means it’ll get tossed in a bag to come along to a restaurant or our next family gathering for sure." Thanks for the great review, Tabletop Family!

01.01.2022 "The game plays fast and it has built in a remarkable amount of variability. The combinations between staff members, attractions, and blueprints really give players a lot of agency in determining what they want to do." Thanks, Quackalope!
