07.01.2022 We have had a reshuffle tonight as our regular horn man is sick (get well soon Owen). So this evening at molly we are joined by tenor sax mogul Thomas Fell. I’m thinking Don redman meets Jimmie Rodgers for a bit of good old rootsy juke joint jazz. Giant jug provided by Dave and traps by mark (now with new cymbal). 05.01.2022 Vega duotron for the win. Looks like the Gibson L10 will be rested for a while as I reconnect with my 1946 electrified arch top with the Bakelite chicken head knobs and functional end pins. No mess no fuss, and tons of raw swinging energy. It makes me play more downstrokes, colourful chord voicings and driving bass runs.
