21.01.2022 WATER BLESSING FROM The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers: Instructions:... ~Prepare a bowl of clean water or stand beside a body of water. ~Please pray for the water in apology (for polluting and disrespect. Then offer prayers of love, gratitude and respect. ~Hold both of your hands toward the water, from your heart your energy will be projected into the water through your hands. (you can close your eyes during this process) ~Please intend that the vibrations, which now fill the water will spread to the waters all over our Mother Earth. ~You may also add your own prayer to the water, meditation, chanting, music, songs, dancing, and so on intending the same purpose. ~Pour a little bit of the water on their hand, with a loving thought, sprinkle the water away from you (as in spreading Seeds), then drink the water, with a feeling of gratitude. We thank all those who join us as we pray for the life of water for our future generations.
20.01.2022 Late Autumn Self-Sufficiency in NW Tassie Around about now, if you've done it right and worked hard through summer and autumn, you should be feeling both smug and exhausted. The harvest is in. The seemingly endless supply of apples, potatoes and chestnuts are stored away. You're probably just about ready to put you feet up for a well deserved rest. Not quite yet though. Made sure your brassica, onions and leeks are all transplanted for spring and early summer? Broad beans in?... You should also have made a good start on getting as much firewood stacked and under cover as you can it usually starts to come down hard towards the end of May, and you want dry wood. Then you can start shelling the beans and chestnuts indoors by the fire. It's a kind of rest. You deserve it. There's something nice and secure about seeing food put aside for winter while you're warmed by the fire you cut and stacked the firewood for. This is a real life. This is the Good Life. See more
